The thought of particularly delighting in complete separation and complete transformation is desire, namely, for truth and the path. Abandoning the obscuration of afflictions, being free from attachment, is nirvana. Being free from the combination of contaminated things is cessation. Relying on these means relying on solitude, freedom from attachment, and cessation. Complete separation means being free from the combination of all conditioned things. Complete transformation means its homogeneous cause. Similarly, diligence, mind, and examination are also like that. Because wisdom dominates here, just like the eyes and so on, faith and so on are also faculties. Among them, completely believing in the truth, the Three Jewels, and the results of actions is faith, which is a faculty. The faculty of diligence is determined by what must be done. The faculty of mindfulness is the absence of the opportunity for ignorance due to non-bewildered mindfulness itself. The faculty of samadhi is the mastery over one-pointedness of mind. The faculty of wisdom is the definite ascertainment of what should be abandoned and what should be adopted. Alternatively, having great joy in the mind towards the correct view of the world and beyond the world is faith. Having manifest joy in the mind is diligence. What brings about the near accumulation of the dharmas that rely on the faculty of faith? The faculty of diligence. Not being bewildered by the meaning generated by the faculty of diligence is the faculty of mindfulness. From the faculty of mindfulness, what causes the meanings that have not deteriorated to turn towards manifestation? That is the faculty of samadhi. What distinguishes the meanings made one-pointed by the faculty of samadhi? That is the faculty of wisdom. The faculties that are the ultimate antidotes to non-belief, laziness, extreme dullness, carelessness, and distraction, and so on, are only powers, namely, the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of samadhi, and the power of wisdom. Because one awakens correctly by oneself alone, it is perfect enlightenment, that is, a mind free from doubt. Its cause is the seven branches of perfect enlightenment, among which, in order to do the benefit of all sentient beings, the aspiration, hearing, and thought for perfect enlightenment.

Non-bewilderment in understanding the meaning is right mindfulness, an aspect of enlightenment. That phenomena are not characterized by self, but only by the five aggregates, and to discriminate phenomena in this way, is right discrimination of phenomena, an aspect of enlightenment. The mind being of one taste with the nature of reality is joy, a right aspect of enlightenment. Because joy is incompatible with the habits of self and what belongs to self being severed, the very adaptability of body, speech, and mind is perfect pliancy, a right aspect of enlightenment. The four immeasurables, suchness, the correct limit, emptiness, and the sphere of phenomena, being one-pointed on these is concentration, a right aspect of enlightenment. Definitely arising from the ground of an ordinary being is diligence, a right aspect of enlightenment. Whether it has become an antidote to afflictions or not, the continuums of the actions of body, speech, and mind, etc., without effort, and those that do not abandon equanimity, are equanimity, a right aspect of enlightenment. Because it is solely in accordance with evil, it has become an antidote to the obscuration of afflictions, and because it is both noble and eightfold, it is the noble eightfold path. Because it is sought for the sake of meditating to eliminate the obscuration of knowledge, the path is both the noble eightfold path and the path, therefore it is the noble eightfold path. Its aspects are the eight, such as right view. Among these, right view is the characteristic of all phenomena being without self, and looking to the next world. Right thought is abandoning what should be abandoned and taking up what should be taken up, and attending to what should be done manifestly. Speech that does not deceive sentient beings with a purely virtuous mind is right speech. Not transgressing the ten virtues is the limit of right action. Living by means of what is not in accordance with the Dharma, etc., is right livelihood for sentient beings. Actions of body, speech, and mind that are connected with the complete benefit of oneself and others are right effort. The very non-bewilderment of the nature of reality as it is realized is right mindfulness. Focusing in the manner of glorious Heruka is right concentration. By these
