名为大龙王光显，名为大龙王一切胜幢相，名为大龙王宝头，名为大龙王善住梵顶，名为大龙王顶髻宝焰，名为大龙王大海镇，名为大龙王普观眼，名为大龙王遍入轮，名为大龙王一切遍离，名为大龙王极喜降雨，名为大龙王极净极喜，名为大龙王极摧，名为大龙王电焰，名为大龙王地护之子，名为大龙王降水种种，名为大龙王舍取力，名为大龙王于三界极降雨，名为大龙王多闻天之子种种，如是等大龙王八万四千，每一大龙王亦有眷属龙族七万七千，彼等往诣薄伽梵处，以大供养供养薄伽梵，于薄伽梵绕三匝，顶礼薄伽梵双足，向薄伽梵如是禀白：薄伽梵，世尊宣说极可怖畏猛利大难见之明咒语，薄伽梵，我等将坏灭，语词穷尽，身体极度颤抖，毛发竖立。薄伽梵，我等畏惧，于薄伽梵前现前安住，如是惊恐，毛孔皆竖立，生起极大可怖畏之恐惧，畏惧而瘫痪。薄伽梵，未来之时，未来之世，如来圆寂之后，有凶暴贪财之比丘，为遮止冰雹、风、霜而祈祷，薄伽梵，彼等不敬龙者，当如何殷勤？如何复彼等之命？

And the great Naga king named Light Manifestation, and the great Naga king named All-Victorious Banner Appearance, and the great Naga king Jewel Head, and the great Naga king Well-Dwelling Brahma Crown, and the great Naga king Crown Jewel Flame, and the great Naga king Great Ocean Subduer, and the great Naga king All-Seeing Eye, and the great Naga king All-Pervading Wheel, and the great Naga king All-Completely Separated, and the great Naga king Extremely Pleased Raining, and the great Naga king Utterly Pure Extremely Pleased, and the great Naga king Extremely Destroying, and the great Naga king Lightning Flame, and the great Naga king Son of Earth Protector, and the great Naga king Raining Water Various, and the great Naga king Giving and Taking Power, and the great Naga king Extremely Raining in the Three Realms, and the great Naga king Vaishravana's Son Various, and so forth, eighty-four thousand great Naga kings, each great Naga king also having a retinue of seventy-seven thousand Naga clans, those went to where the Bhagavan was. Having circumambulated the Bhagavan three times, having offered with great offerings, having touched the two feet of the Bhagavan, they spoke thus to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One has spoken mantras of extremely unbearable, fierce, great, and difficult-to-see power. Bhagavan, we are ruined! Words are exhausted! Our bodies tremble greatly! Our hairs stand on end! Bhagavan, we are afraid, dwelling manifestly before the Bhagavan. Thus, fear and terror cause the pores of our hair to bristle, and great unbearable fear arises, and we are paralyzed with fear. Bhagavan, in the future time, in the future age, after the Thus-Gone One has passed into complete nirvana, there will be violent and greedy monks who pray to avert hail, wind, and frost. Bhagavan, how should those who do not respect the Nagas be diligently treated? How should their lives be restored?

Change. World Honored One, how numerous will our sons and grandsons become? Then, the World Honored One spoke to those great dragon kings, saying: Dragon kings, in future lives and future times, you should abide in loving-kindness. You should be in accordance with the vows of the Tathagata. Constantly send down a stream of rain. Constantly accomplish flowers, fruits, and crops. Avert all wind, clouds, and hail. Do not waste. Dragon kings, therefore, in future lives and future times, you should abide without harm. Dragon kings, if you do not truly keep your vows, therefore, dragon kings, you will incur great faults, he said. The initial invocation of the Naga mantra is complete. Then, after that, the ritual of the root mantra, which pacifies the wrath of the Nagas, should be recited, this mandala of the essence of the blazing glory of the sky soaring. Initially, just look at the sky, and if mustard seeds mixed with water are scattered in the four directions, all frost, wind, clouds, and hail can be resisted. They will be bound. All the Nagas will tremble, shake, and abide. If ashes mixed with water are recited twenty-one times and empowerment is given, self-protection will be accomplished. When thunder is said to occur, recite the mustard seeds twenty-seven times completely, and recite the water seven times completely, and the clouds in the sky will be bound. Then, looking at the clouds, if mustard seeds are scattered into the sky, all the flowers and fruits will be gathered and fall to the ground. Also, mantras should be recited, and the angry syllable "phaṭ (藏文：ཕཊ་，梵文天城体：फट्，梵文罗马拟音：phaṭ，汉语字面意思：啪)" should be recited.
