安住于身心调养和戒律后，忏悔一切众生往昔所造的罪业，坦白自己从无量劫以来所造的各种罪业。口中迅速念诵此陀罗尼，使声音不间断，那么四种沙门果位便可在今生获得。如果是一个根器敏锐、具有智慧、精通禅修方法的人，那么获得十地果位也不困难。更不用说，世间的微小福报也能轻易成就。这是因为菩萨的伟大慈悲和愿力的力量非常深厚，而且此陀罗尼的加持力非常广大。世尊对阿难说：如果某个地方发生了灾难，那么那个地方的国王应该以正法治理国家，让人民安居乐业，不残害众生，救护所有受苦之人，日夜精进修持，念诵大悲心陀罗尼咒，那么那个地方的灾难和魔障都会被消除，五谷丰登，人民安乐。此外，如果外敌屡次入侵，导致百姓不安宁，或者大臣阴谋叛乱，或者发生瘟疫，或者发生大旱，或者日月运行失常，如果发生诸如此类的灾难，那么就塑造一尊具有大悲心的千眼观音像，面向灾难发生的方位，以香、花、幢幡、宝幡、各种珍宝华盖，以及具有百味的饮食供养，一心一意地进行供奉。此外，国王应该日夜精进修持七天，念诵此陀罗尼的丰富词句，那么外敌自然降伏，各自返回。

Having settled in the cultivation of mind and body and in moral discipline, confess all the past misdeeds of all sentient beings, and confess all kinds of sinful deeds done by oneself from countless kalpas. If one recites this dharani quickly from the mouth and keeps the sound continuous, then the four fruits of a renunciate will be obtained in this very life. If one is sharp-witted, endowed with wisdom, and skilled in the methods of meditation, then even the fruit of the ten bhumis will not be difficult to attain. Needless to say, even the slightest worldly blessings will be easily accomplished. This is because the great compassion and the power of the aspirations of the Bodhisattva are very profound, and the blessings of this dharani are very vast. The Blessed One said to Ananda: If harm occurs in any country, then the king of that country should uphold the country with the true Dharma, arrange for the people to live in peace, not harm sentient beings, protect all those who have been wronged, and cultivate diligence of body and mind day and night. If one recites this dharani mantra of great compassion, then the harm and all obstacles in that country will be completely eliminated, grains will be good, and many people will be happy. Furthermore, if enemies repeatedly come to harass, causing many subjects to be uneasy, or if a great minister plots to steal and becomes corrupt, or if an epidemic occurs, or if a great drought occurs, or if the movement of the sun and moon is disturbed, if such harm occurs, then at that time, make an image of the thousand-eyed one endowed with great compassion, and face it towards the direction of the harm. Offer incense, flowers, banners, streamers, various precious canopies, and food and drink with a hundred flavors with one-pointed mind. Furthermore, the king should cultivate diligence with body and mind for seven days and nights, and recite these abundant words of the dharani. Then the enemies will be subdued by themselves and return, each from their own place.

如法治理国家，国家也安住于和平之中，以慈爱之心互相照顾。王子和大臣们也会公正廉洁地处理政务。妃嫔和王子们也会侍奉和尊敬国王。天神、龙族和妖魔鬼怪也会守护和治理这个国家。雨水按时降落，庄稼丰收，人民也会非常高兴。此外，如果家中遭遇严重的疾病，或者出现各种不祥之兆，或者妖魔鬼怪和邪恶的魔鬼扰乱家庭，或者恶人诽谤、偷盗并造成伤害，或者家庭成员之间不和睦，那么，在具有大慈悲心的千眼观音像前，设置坛城，一心一意地忆念菩萨观世音自在，念诵此陀罗尼满一千遍，那么，以上所说的那些不好的事物都会完全消除。具寿阿难陀向世尊禀告说：世尊，此明咒叫什么名字？应如何受持？世尊开示说：阿难陀，此明咒有多种名称，也叫“广大圆满”，也叫“无碍大悲”，也叫“救脱诸苦之陀罗尼”，也叫“延寿陀罗尼”，也叫“清净恶趣之陀罗尼”，也叫“摧灭业障之陀罗尼”，也叫“圆满诸愿之陀罗尼”，也叫“随心自在之陀罗尼”，也叫“速超诸地之陀罗尼”，应如是受持。具寿阿难陀向世尊禀告说：世尊，这位菩萨摩诃萨叫什么名字呢？如何才能善于开示这样的陀罗尼呢？世尊开示说：菩萨

Righteously governing the country, the country will also abide in peace, and with loving hearts, they will look after each other. The princes and ministers will also conduct government affairs with justice and integrity. The consorts and princes will also serve and respect the king. The gods, nagas, and demons will also protect and govern that country. Rain will fall on time, crops will be abundant, and the people will also be very happy. Furthermore, if a household encounters a severe and intractable illness, or various inauspicious omens occur, or demons and evil spirits disturb the family, or wicked people slander, steal, and cause harm, or if the family members are not harmonious with each other, then, in front of an image of Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteśvara who possesses great compassion, set up a mandala, and with one-pointed mind, remember the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, and recite this dhāraṇī a full thousand times, then all those bad things mentioned above will be completely eliminated. The venerable Ānanda said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, what is the name of this vidyā-mantra? How should it be received and held? The Blessed One said: Ānanda, this vidyā-mantra has various names; it is also called "Vast and Complete," also called "Unobstructed Great Compassion," also called "The Dhāraṇī that Saves from All Suffering," also called "The Life-Extending Dhāraṇī," also called "The Dhāraṇī that Purifies All the Lower Realms," also called "The Dhāraṇī that Destroys Karmic Obscurations," also called "The Dhāraṇī that Fulfills All Wishes," also called "The Dhāraṇī that is Independent Following the Mind," also called "The Dhāraṇī that Quickly Transcends All the Higher Grounds." 這位勇士的名字也叫觀世音自在。也叫不空羂索。也叫具足千眼。種姓之子，這位菩薩觀世音自在的名號、威德和力量是不可思議的。從過去無數劫之前就已經成佛，名號為如來正法光明。然而，由於大悲心和願力的力量，為了利益眾生，才示現菩薩之身。因此，你們這些菩薩、大菩薩眷屬，以及梵天、帝釋天、諸天和龍族，應當恭敬尊重，不要輕蔑。諸天和世人應當恆常供養，一心稱念其名，就能獲得無量福德，無量罪業得以清淨，命終之後也能往生到阿彌陀佛的淨土。世尊開示說： 善男子，如果想要變得富有，具足各種珍寶，就應當供養手持如意寶珠的手。如果受到各種不適的困擾，就應當供養手持羂索的手。如果腹中有疾病，就應當供養手持珍寶缽的手。如果想要調伏一切邪魔，就應當供養手持珍寶寶劍的手。如果想要調伏一切天子魔，就應當供養手持金剛杵的手。如果想要摧毀外道的敵人，就應當供養手持金剛鐵鎚的手。如果想要從一切恐懼和不安中解脫，就應當供養施無畏印的手。如果眼睛昏花，沒有光明，就應當供養手持火珠的手。如果被熱病侵襲，想要清涼，就應當供養手持水精寶珠的手。如果想要官位高升，就應當供養手持珍寶弓箭的手。如果想要迅速與朋友和睦相處，就應當供養手持珍寶箭的手。如果身體被各種疾病

From countless eons ago, he has already attained complete enlightenment and become a Buddha, with the name Tathagata, the Light of the True Dharma. Therefore, you, the retinue of Bodhisattvas and great Bodhisattvas, as well as Brahma, Indra, the gods, and the nagas, should respectfully honor him and not despise him. All gods and humans should constantly make offerings to him, and if they single-mindedly recite his name, they will obtain immeasurable merit, immeasurable sins will be purified, and after death, they will be reborn in the pure land of Amitabha Buddha. The Blessed One said: Noble son, if you wish to become wealthy and possess abundant jewels, you should make offerings to the hand holding the wish-fulfilling jewel. If you are afflicted by various discomforts, you should make offerings to the hand holding the lasso. If you have diseases in your abdomen, you should make offerings to the hand holding the precious begging bowl. If you wish to subdue all demons, you should make offerings to the hand holding the precious sword. If you wish to subdue all the demons of the sons of the gods, you should make offerings to the hand holding the vajra. If you wish to destroy the enemies of the opposing forces, you should make offerings to the hand holding the vajra hammer.
