Then, regarding the sound of the gaṇḍi (a percussion instrument): if it initially sounds like "stable," then there will be a quick recovery; if it sounds like "kob," the illness will be prolonged; if it sounds like "chom," then recovery is impossible. In general, a loud and pleasant sound is best. If it is a ritual for longevity, then one must blow the conch shell, which is a special connection related to breath. If it is a ritual to pacify harm and other obstacles, then one must strike the gaṇḍi, which is a special connection related to striking. Also, if the illness is not very serious, saying "it's getting better" will help; if the illness is serious, saying "they have passed away" will help; if the evil spirit is very strong, moving the house will help; one must prevent the filth of one's own body from falling into the mouth of a crow, if it does, it will harm one's lifespan; if the shadow of a flying vulture falls on the body, it will harm one's lifespan; if a bird flies east, one should face west and make the gesture of flying for twenty-one steps, it will help. If one has a nosebleed, drawing a bow to its full extent will stop it. It is said that the leaves of the tharu plant are beneficial for all wounds of humans and horses. If one has hiccups, repeatedly making sounds of fear will stop them. Wearing a dragon's bone around the neck will prevent the fear of lightning strikes. Similarly, carrying the bone of someone killed by lightning on the body will protect against the fear of lightning strikes. Wearing turquoise or agate around the neck, even if struck by a horse, the head will not break. Wearing a conch shell around the neck is beneficial for throat ailments. Wearing high-quality turquoise around the neck is beneficial for black phlegm disease. Wearing a six-faced red agate around the neck is beneficial for hemorrhoids. Similarly, holding the relics of the Thus Gone One (梵文：Tathāgata) on the crown of the head, all wishes will be fulfilled as desired. Wearing a wolf's neck or Kalo herb is beneficial for kidney sprains. Applying pig fat to the soles of the feet is beneficial for the eyes. Next, various auspicious connections will be explained: when building a house, drawing swastikas (藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང་, 梵文天城体：स्वस्तिक, 梵文罗马拟音：svastika, 汉语字面意思：吉祥的标志) and vajra crosses on the foundation will make it stable and auspicious. One should not go to places where boulders are rolling down from landslides, broken cliffs, excavated caves, collapsed cliffs, collapsed houses, and houses under construction. Making a flagpole from bamboo with fifteen joints and erecting a prayer flag is a prayer flag that pleases the gods and nāgas, therefore it is beneficial for the family. If there are nine patched pots in the house, it is a pot angered by a demoness, which is inauspicious and should not be used. If a bee appears in the house, it is the conch shell maker of Vaiśravaṇa (梵文：Vaiśravaṇa), and should be left in peace. If a black crow appears in the morning, it is the white nāga medicine of the house, and should be offered with flour.

Also, if mice are causing harm in the house, put a marmot egg containing a copper needle inside, smear it with honey, and place it there, and the mice will not live in that house. Also, if you are staying at home and are afraid of robbers, etc., take the nest wood of a cuckoo, marmot, or crow, etc., and put it in water. If one floats upright, carry it on your body, and people will not see you, it is said. If you put the thief's right hand in the depths of the treasury, food and wealth will naturally gather, it is said. Do not sweep garbage in the depths of the treasury. In new houses, if you write the nine palaces in the center of the eight trigrams symbolizing power, you can withstand all kinds of harm. If you dye the hair from a yak's tail on Sunday and hang it with a mirror in a place where you can see the sky, it is said that the wandering of the righteous planets will not come. However, if you sing songs often, the eighteen cities of the Gandharvas will hear it and utter evil curses, leading to a lack of food and clothing, becoming a beggar, and being reborn as a mute in the next life. If you perform too many torma rituals and play too many dice games in the house, many gods and demons will gather and bring harm, it is said. Attach many auspicious substances to a five-arrowed arrow and place it in the depths of the treasury, and it is said that the wealth of all places will gather there. Also, when cutting the ladder, calculate the alternation of good and bad luck and place it on the step of good luck.
