Thus, by reciting for a long time, fix the awareness in the state where all appearances are naturally (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum). Then, with the teeth and lips slightly touching, unite the three: wind, appearance, and thought. By this, all external appearances are liberated into emptiness. Meditate in this way for one day. This is the fifth session. Then, to stabilize the inner aggregates: sit upright in the vajra posture, recite (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) and visualize one (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), two (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) arising within the aggregates, and fix the awareness in the emptiness of (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum). If the feeling of emptiness of (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) arises within, this is the key to mastering the wind. Meditate on this for one day. By doing this, there is a need to liberate the aggregates into emptiness. This is the sixth session. Next, there are two practices for cultivating power: First, cultivating power over external appearances: By reciting many short, forceful (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), visualize all objects of external appearance scattering like sparks. By cultivating power in this way, it is said that all external appearances will transform into bliss and clarity. If all external appearances become clear and transparent, this is a sign of accomplishment. Meditate in this way for one day. This is the seventh session. Then, cultivating power over the inner aggregates: By reciting a strong (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), visualize these (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) scattering outwards and inwards through the body. The signs of this practice are that the muscles of the body will twitch greatly, and there will be a feeling of clarity and transparency. This pacifies illnesses and demonic influences, and has the effect of transforming the aggregates into light. Practice in this way for one day. This is the eighth session. Then, there are two practices: finding a companion and entering the path. First, finding a companion: Look at any object in front of you, such as a piece of wood, and recite (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), visualizing the rope of (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) coiling around that object like a ball of thread. Again, recite (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), and fix the awareness on the rope of (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) unraveling, and meditate. In this way, the feeling of coiling arises when coiling, and the feeling of unraveling arises when unraveling. This is the key to being able to transform any object of focus. If you feel tired and want to lie down, this is a sign of accomplishment. Meditate on this for one day. This is the ninth session. Then, entering the path: Recite (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), and focus the awareness single-pointedly on a (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) one cubit in front of you, and meditate. This has the effect of bringing body and speech onto the path.

If Sapa Delampa and Olshikpa arise, it is a sign of accomplishment. By practicing speech in this way, the sins of speech are purified, merits are obtained, attachment to speech is reversed, and from now on, one will not be turned back into samsara. Speech is liberated from the Sambhogakaya, and that speech becomes inseparable from the speech of all Buddhas and passes into nirvana. There is such a need. Tenth session. Next is the preliminary practice of mind: From 'After Death': In order to do the preliminary practice of mind, take the suffering of the six realms to heart. The meaning of this is: Although the essence of mind is Dharmakaya, it wanders in samsara without knowing its true nature. If you separate mind from samsara, you should think that from now on you will not wander in samsara. Go to a solitary place and meditate on being born in hell, experiencing unbearable heat and cold. Again, look at the essence of that mind. Similarly, meditate on pretas, animals, asuras, gods, and humans each experiencing happiness and suffering separately. Look at the after-consciousness of these in the mind. Meditate like this for one day. By meditating in this way, the abodes of the six realms are purified and one will not be born there. Eleventh session. Inner splendor. Next, from the Gyatrulgyur Tantra: The mind, where it first arises, where it dwells in the middle, and where it goes in the end. If you examine and analyze these three, taming the mind is beneficial to the mind. The meaning of this is: First, examine where this mind arises from. Where does it arise from, outer vessel or inner essence? Is it emptiness or appearance? Is it existent or non-existent? Understand it well. If you never find the cause of its arising, then the nature of mind is emptiness, free from grasping, and when it is determined, it is the recognition of Dharmakaya. In this way, search for the place of origin of the mind for one day. Twelfth Dharma session. Next, search for the dwelling place of the mind: Look at where the mind dwells, whether in the outer and inner vessels, the body, the head, or the end. Examine it in this way for one day. And, although the awareness of the examiner is clear and apparent, if it is determined to be appearance without inherent existence, without foundation or root, then that is the recognition of Sambhogakaya. Thirteenth session. Next, examine where the mind goes: Examine where this mind goes, whether to the outer and inner vessels, existence and non-existence, appearance and emptiness, etc. Wherever it goes, if you do not find the one who goes and the place to go, that is mind.
