Par bya. And in the Vajra Garland, it says: The practitioner sits on a comfortable seat, with eyes fixed on the tip of the nose, the nose kept within the range of sight. Shoulders are level, tongue touches the palate, teeth and lips are relaxed. Loosen the exhalation and inhalation of breath, exhale and inhale slightly, gently, and without effort, as it is. The meaning of the words, "With the bodhisattva's posture well established," is that arranging the body in accordance with dependent origination is the key to realization arising in the mind. Sitting in the vajra posture or the bodhisattva posture causes the downward-clearing wind to enter the central channel, pacifying jealousy and preventing obstacles from arising. Placing the hands in the meditation mudra four fingers below the navel causes the water wind to enter the central channel, pacifying hatred. Straightening the spine like an arrow and extending the arms like the wings of a garuda causes the earth wind to enter the central channel, pacifying delusion. Bending the neck slightly towards the chest causes the fire wind to enter the central channel, pacifying attachment. Opening and closing the eyes moderately, looking from the tip of the nose to a point four fingers below, touching the tongue to the upper palate causes the wind of wind to enter the central channel, pacifying pride, and awareness becomes clear. Thus, if the seven-point posture of the body is not mistaken, the wind will enter the central channel, and realization will arise naturally. If the body posture is tilted to the right, first the experience of clarity will be lost, then hatred will arise, and harm from kings, etc., will occur. If it is tilted to the left, first the experience of comfort will be lost, then attachment will arise, and harm from female demons will occur. If it is bent forward, first the experience of non-conceptuality will be lost, then delusion will arise, and harm from earth lords will occur, causing unhappiness and heart wind to enter. If the body posture is tilted backward, first the experience of emptiness will arise, then pride will arise, and discursive thoughts will be rampant, the body will become dry and withered, and seminal fluid will be discharged, etc., causing obstacles. Therefore, the body posture should not be mistaken. Then, meditating on calm abiding with characteristics, in the Samadhiraja Sutra, it says: Meditating on the Bhagavan Shakyamuni in front will bring immeasurable benefits. The sutra says to focus on the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks of the Buddha, and the sutra also says: The body with the color of gold, the protector of the world, is completely beautiful. Whoever holds the mind on that object, that bodhisattva is said to have achieved samadhi. The meaning of these words is the vajra words.

kyaṅ las. Having placed a statue or a piece of wood or stone in front, generate the deity and have it surround that consciousness. Abide in that state of your own mind as much as possible. As the Great Compassionate One himself said in its commentary: You may place a statue of the Buddha or a golden statue, or a lotus, or a wooden peg, or a pebble, etc. Generate a deity, either the Buddha, Vajrasattva, Samantabhadra, or Vajradhara, and have it surround that consciousness. Then, abide in that state of your own mind as much as possible. The meaning of what was said is: Place a statue in front of you, or in a place visible to the public. If there is none, place a pebble, a wooden peg, or a flower. At least place a pebble in front of you. Now, the methods of holding the mind are four: holding the mind on the Nirmanakaya, holding the mind on the Sambhogakaya, holding the mind on the Dharmakaya, Holding the mind on the objectless. Now, this statue, pebble, lotus, or small piece of wood, contemplate it as a small image of the Bhagavan Nirmanakaya Shakyamuni Buddha, about four fingers high. Focus on it with one-pointedness, and rest for a moment without letting your mind wander. Now, focus for a moment on the urna hair between the eyebrows of that Buddha. Now, focus for a moment on the svastika (卍) marked on the heart of the Buddha. Now, focus on the vajra in front of the Buddha. Now, focus on the entire body of the Buddha. The meaning of this is that when entering into yogic meditation, visualize the body of the Buddha as golden like pure gold, adorned with marks and signs, possessing light rays, and generate desire for it. Abandon desire and mental obstacles, straighten the body, and place such a statue of the Buddha, or a painted image, in front of you. If you constantly contemplate it, then that Buddha or other limbs, etc., will appear fully manifest. When it becomes an object of focus, day and night, half Do not be distracted in between, you should practice like this. If the mind becomes dull or agitated, etc., then you should rejoice by desiring the qualities of the Buddha, and practice diligently in it. In this way, it will be accomplished. So it is said. Also, if the mind is not clear and becomes dull, then you should focus on the crown of the head. If the mind is scattered and agitated and cannot abide, then you should focus on the navel of the body, or the soles of the feet and the junction of the seat. If there is no dullness or agitation, then you should focus on the heart.
