It is permissible to sprinkle the ground with perfume or anything similar. After that, continuously practice the visualization sequence of the mandala without interruption. Why is that? Because all happiness in this world and beyond arises from accumulating merit. The profound method of accumulating merit is this mandala. If you practice in this way for a long time, as a sign of the completion of accumulation, you will not be hungry even if you don't eat much. You will know many teachings that countless wisdoms could not previously understand. You will remember many teachings that you had forgotten, and you will feel happy. Your mind will be able to be used for the Dharma. In dreams, many women will give you food and drink, the sun and moon will rise, you will go upwards, you will go to a meadow of flowers and pick flowers, you will wear new clothes, you will wear ornaments, you will cross a river and reach the other shore, you will build a boat or bridge on the water, you will wipe and look at the mandala and mirror, you will blow a conch shell, beat a large drum, play music, visit temples, and so on. However, there is no basis for having such dreams only once or twice, so these signs will appear repeatedly, and if they actually occur in real experience and in dreams, then that is a true sign of the slight completion of accumulation. Also, in the instructions on the mandala, Orgyen Rinpoche said: Relying on the outer mandala, accumulate the accumulation of merit, and relying on the inner kusalu, make amends for transgressions. Therefore, here is a brief explanation of how to offer the body: In the Sutra Requested by the Protector of the Land, it says: For many eons, seeking supreme enlightenment, giving away one's own sons, daughters, wives, cherished life and extremely abundant wealth, cities, treasures, and grains, and so on. And, for the sake of the survival of the tigress and her cubs, giving the body to satisfy the tigress. In the sky, the hosts of gods proclaim that the supreme being is diligent, steadfast, and knows well. And, seeing people who are poor and suffering, giving away my cherished body, and making them wealthy with my wealth. And, when I became a human king here, seeing the dove that had come for refuge, cutting off flesh from my own body, giving up my own body, not retreating out of fear. When I was formerly called King Shaggy Hair, the best doctor, for my sake, did not find equal medicines.

And again, I gave those to others, having given up my life. And again, when I was Prince Moonlight, the fierce-eyed one became angry, and when he raised my head, at that time I cut off my head and gave it away. And again, when I was formerly a king named Possessing Joy, I also gave away my hands and feet, which were as soft and tender as cotton petals and lotus petals. And again, when I was the stainless, pure, golden-colored king, I gave away the great webbed fingers. When I was called King Utpala Eye, I gave away my eyes, which were the color of blue lotuses, pleasing to the mind and dear to the heart, for the sake of beings. And again, in a former existence, when I became All-Seeing, seeing a sick person afflicted with disease, I gave my own blood, and I freed that person from disease. When I was called King Good Flower, I took bones from my body and gave them to those emaciated by disease, and I never abandoned sentient beings. When I was formerly called Prince Meaningful Accomplishment, I gave away all my treasures, and I gave away my cherished and pleasing life, and I liberated the impoverished. When I was the King, Lord of the Directions, wishing for enlightenment, for the sake of beings, I generously gave away my lotus-like hands marked with wheels, without hesitation. And again, when I was the Princess Endowed with Wisdom, with a joyful and contented mind, I cut off my soft, tender, immaculate white thighs, and nourished the Dharma speakers with my own flesh and blood. When I was called the Woman Endowed with Beautiful Form, seeing women afflicted by hunger and thirst, I gave away both of my breasts, which were as beautiful as gold, very young, and dear to my heart. And again, when I was formerly a creature called Go-adar, fearing that the ants would die, I gave away my precious body without hesitation. And again, when I was formerly a fish swimming in water, for the benefit of sentient beings, I gave away my body, and hundreds of thousands of creatures devoured it. When I was a creature called Depa, seeing beings afflicted by hundreds of diseases, I transformed my body into medicine, so that sentient beings were happy and free from disease.
