Furthermore, should one offer nectar with the hand? It is not permissible to drink nectar without the generation stage of offering within the blessings of nectar. If one drinks it, the faults mentioned above will occur. Moreover, even if a monk and a layperson share a seat, there is no fault in eating the feast meat and alcohol without discrimination, and it does not harm the seat. This was said by King Songtsen Gampo. If one does not eat with discrimination, the fault is great. Dabih Heruka said, "If one eats with discrimination and hesitation, one will be born in the Blister Hell." Bhadrapala said, "One should receive it with respect, not with disbelief, and drink it like nectar." Furthermore, if a yogi can truly transform alcohol into nectar, there is no fault in drinking alcohol immoderately, and one will gain the merit of offering the mandala of the body deity. The great adept Virupa once consumed the alcohol of eighteen regions for seven days, and because he could not find the money for the alcohol, he was hung up like the sun and moon for a month. This also varies according to the capacity of individuals. If an accomplished yogi consumes alcohol according to the standards of a yogi, and a beginner imitates and drinks alcohol, it is like stuffing the food of a young man into the mouth of a woman who has just given birth, which is a great fault. The faults of meat are also as stated in the Lankavatara Sutra: "For the sake of profit, they kill sentient beings; for the sake of meat, they give wealth. Both of these are sinful, forced by weeping and so on. Whoever transgresses the words of the Muni, eats meat with evil intentions, destroys both worlds, behaves dissolutely in the Shakya's teachings, is extremely hateful, these sinful beings will fall into hell, and in weeping and so on, these meat-eaters will be cooked. The three pure meats, not marked, not requested, and not coming uninvited, therefore one should not eat meat. Yogis should not eat meat, this is what the Buddhas said. Sentient beings devour each other, they will be born into the race of meat-eaters, with an unpleasant smell, slandered, and will be born as madmen. They will be born again and again as outcasts, butchers, and cooks. They will be born into the race of dakinis and the race of meat-eaters. These lowest of people will be born in the wombs of bears and cats." Therefore, one should not eat meat.

Eating meat without restraint is a great offense, especially consecrated meat and meat killed on the same day, which are extremely sinful. Furthermore, meat is the food of the compassionate. As stated in the Sutra itself: "Food is like medicine, and also like the flesh of a son; the yogi should partake of food appropriately and without aversion." Therefore, if it is not consecrated meat and is beneficial for illness, eating it with the perception of medicine is not an offense. If it is not consecrated meat but is one of the three pure meats, generate compassion for that sentient being, and recite dharani mantras such as Kamkani (藏文:ཀཾ་ཀ་ནི་) on the meat and bones, eat it, and increase merit through dedication, it is greatly beneficial to that sentient being, so there is no offense. If you do not eat tsok meat, you will violate your samaya, so you must eat it. However, it is not permissible to kill for the sake of tsok meat. If one does not eat tsok meat that is not like that, then regarding the samaya, one does not rely on it as it is, which is the thirteenth root downfall. Dabhipa said: "If you eat with conceptualization and hesitation, you will be born in the blister hell." Therefore, even those monks and others who have conceptualizations should not conceptualize here. Therefore, it is best to abandon all meat except tsok meat; those of medium capacity should also abandon consecrated meat and meat killed on the same day; for those of lower capacity, it is also important to bless the meat with dharani mantras. If one eats meat without doing any of these things, the offenses mentioned above will certainly occur. Among lies, the most serious is the lie of the human guru, in order to make others have faith and respect for oneself, saying that one has attained realization when one has not, saying that one remembers past lives when one does not, saying that one has seen the yidam deity and spirits when one has not, etc., these will lead to the loss of vows and are very serious offenses. We monks and nuns must be very careful about this, it is very important. A single good or bad word without meaning can lead to the breaking of vows and the loss of precepts. There is no offense in truthfully telling what one has seen, experienced, dreamed, etc. Also, if someone comes looking to kill a sentient being, if asked "Did you see it?" even if you saw it, saying you didn't see it, such a beneficial lie, both Sutra and Tantra agree that there is no offense. Taking what is not given is a great offense, but taking the objects of a qualified consort, a qualified Bhanda, and the practice of yidam and Dharma protectors without permission is not an offense, as Orgyen Chenpo (Padmasambhava) said. Among divisive speech, the division of the Sangha is the greatest offense. There is no offense in fierce mantras that separate the ten bhumi bodhisattvas and gods.
