永！如同为了医治病人群而依止医生一样！当无有散乱地依止善知识。佛陀诸法依善知识而生。具足一切功德之王如是说。又如《庄严经》中说：通过利养、恭敬、承事和修行来依止善知识。

Yung! Just as one relies on a doctor to heal a crowd of sick people! Without distraction, one should rely on a virtuous friend. The Buddhas and all dharmas rely on virtuous friends. The Victorious One, possessing the best of all qualities, spoke thus. Furthermore, from the Ornament Sutra: One should rely on a spiritual friend through gain, respect, service, and practice.
