Wow! From the four places of the forehead, throat, heart, and navel of that Orgyen (Padmasambhava's pure land) on the crown of the head, rays of light emanate, marked with the white syllable OM (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om), marked with the red syllable AH (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), marked with the blue syllable HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hung), marked with the green syllable HRIH (Tibetan: ཧྲི, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्री, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih), continuously descending and dissolving into the four places of one's own forehead, throat, heart, and navel, thereby purifying the four obscurations, obtaining the four empowerments, and being endowed with the opportunity to manifest the four kayas. Again, from the various parts of the body and the four limbs, various colors of light rays emerge and dissolve into one's entire body, thereby receiving the blessings of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, and contemplating that whatever activities one undertakes will be accomplished. In order to clearly understand these visualizations, please repeat this Vajra verse. Visualize that on your own crown, Padmasambhava has gathered all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The essence of Orgyen Rinpoche has other forms, it is said. The form is Padmasambhava, the essence is the root guru, and by praying to him with single-pointed devotion, ultimately all of these dissolve into oneself. Then, Orgyen Rinpoche on the crown of the head dissolves into light and merges into oneself. Contemplate that the body, speech, and mind of Orgyen Rinpoche and one's own body, speech, and mind are inseparable, and then let the mind relax naturally, without artificiality. In the explanation of the Vajra verse, it says: Ultimately, contemplate that all these generation stages dissolve into oneself. This is the meaning of what is said. By practicing in this way in sessions, as an external sign, immeasurable devotion and longing for the guru will arise. Even when the guru is nearby, one will be like someone who dares not call his name directly or look at him directly; when one goes to the guru's presence, one will be reluctant to leave, one's mind will be completely occupied by the guru, and one will think of nothing but the guru, driven by this state, one will pray day and night without knowing fatigue. The internal sign is that experience will arise merely upon remembering the guru; external appearances will become blurred and vague; internal awareness will become clear, empty, and naked; intermediate thoughts will cease, so that self-recognition alone will be sufficient. Even if recognition is not obtained, if one prays to the guru with intense devotion, thoughts will arise naturally, and it is said that it is sufficient to guard whatever thoughts arise. The secret sign is that in dreams one will meet the guru again and again, receive empowerments, hear the Dharma, the emanation and absorption of light rays, and so on, slightly in dreams...

This is explained as a sign of blessings descending. Orgyen Rinpoche said: Thus, if you practice the four sessions, you will receive the blessings of the lama like a vase being filled, and you will attain the state of Vajradhara in one lifetime. This is the profound Lama Yoga. Thus it is said. Having practiced the Lama Yoga and the merit of reciting the Vajra Guru mantra, dedicate it for the sake of all sentient beings attaining the state of perfect Buddhahood, think like this, and then repeat three times. Dedicate the merit to all mother sentient beings in the six realms. Three times. This is the special preliminary practice of Lama Yoga, the thirteenth Dharma session. Thus, the preliminary instructions of what is called "Great Perfection, Actualizing Buddhahood in the Palm of Your Hand" from the cycle of profound oral transmission of the Mind Treasure of the Sky Dharma is well completed.
