The suffering of, and the suffering of being free from sin, and the suffering of protecting what exists, and the suffering of seeking what does not exist and being driven by desire. Thus it is said. The suffering of birth is, in the 'Slob sprin,' it says: Utterly impure, the stench is blocked by nakedness, extremely narrow, dark, and dense, residing within the womb-like hell, the body also shrinks, and one must endure great suffering. Then, gradually, like pressing with a hard sesame oil press, being pressed out like that, one is born. However, even then, one does not give up life, because one is striving to reach the highest form of experiencing suffering. Starting from the impure place, this body with a location is wrapped in the moisture of the womb and possesses an unbearable stench. Afflicted by torment, indicating like a wound maturing and breaking, like touching pus, one abandons previous memories. Thus it is said. What the great Orgyen said about the suffering of birth is: Although this human realm is the happiest, there are immeasurable sufferings of eight kinds and changes. First, when male and female causes meet, the father's and mother's semen and blood mix together, it does not rot, but grows powerfully. Gradually forming, the root knot of the umbilical cord is, the triangular root, the king, the ox's eye. When it forms to the size of a frog's egg, the mother suffers from stomach ailments, eye diseases, etc., like pouring mantras and prayers into someone with heart disease. The head spins, and the body makes sharp crying sounds. Vomiting upwards, excreting downwards, the voice becomes hoarse, and one wants to stop breathing. At nine months, the seven essences of the body are complete, and when the mother realizes it, it is like being thrown into a cliff. The body trembles, sways, and is filled with terror. When full, it is like approaching a rock. Unable to move, the body is tightly bound. When male and female copulate, it is like being cooked by fire. The body heats up, caresses and embraces, and feels burning. When the mother walks, it is like being blown by the wind, rising and falling, round and round, thumping. When the mother sleeps, it is like being pressed by a mountain, semen and body are nowhere to be found. Like the mother entering a pigsty or under the eaves, it becomes dark, and the senses and body develop defects. When the mother stands up or becomes tired violently, it is like the body breaking, the heart being pulled out, and being washed away by a waterfall. The mother cannot eat and can only eat mixed food and filthy things. Without clothes, sleeping in a cold place, the suffering is like hell. After ten months, the essence of the body is complete,

When one is born upside down, The root gates are also narrow and distinct. Mother and child, abandon half a step in the land of death, Both mother and child suffer great pain from illness. Except for the mother's jawbone, the bone gaps separate, The body feels as if it's about to split into a thousand pieces. The young child is weak, as if the inner skin is peeled off, All the strength is emitted outwards. The mind's physical pain is like being pounded in a mortar. When falling on the mat, it's like being thrown into a pile of garbage. Even if wearing warm and soft fur clothes, It's not as warm as the mother's womb. The body feels fear, stinging, and pain, The mother's support Is like a chick being snatched by a hawk. The umbilical cord is cut, like a thorn piercing the heart. From then on, days grow, months grow, Excreting urine from below and the folds are uncomfortable. Thirsty, cold, hungry, limbs numb, The five senses are filled with pain and fear. Those children who have not herded or fished and encountered danger, Cannot tell what happened like a mute. Even if the mother loves and cherishes the child, Just stuffing the breast into his mouth, making "ang, ah, oh" sounds, Will not fulfill his expectations. Thus it is said. Next is the suffering of aging: From the "Great Play": Aging makes one old, age passes, Like a tree struck by lightning. Aging makes one crooked, like a building with internal rot. Aging is like a saint who can endure life and death. The groups of women and men are all emaciated by aging, Like a red wind blowing through a group of Sala trees. Aging steals diligence, ability, and strength, Like a person sinking into the mud. Aging makes beauty ugly, Aging steals glory and power. Aging steals happiness, And makes one despised. Aging brings death, aging also steals radiance. Thus it is said. Ugyen Rinpoche said: Second, the teaching on the suffering of aging: Because of old age, the elements decay and one ages. The radiance of beauty fades, and the luster of ugliness also fades. The body that grew straight becomes crooked. The teeth loosen, and the tendons and blood vessels of the limbs become visible. The body's strength is lost, and the mind's courage also sinks. Merit is exhausted, and people are no longer kind. The beauty of youth declines, making one disgusting. Because there is no ability to torment, one is punished. The eyesight declines, and the eyes cannot see clearly. The essence of the elements rots, and the ears become deaf. The muscles shrink, the cheeks are sunken, and the blood dries up.
