༔ 在《宝鬘论》中说：贪欲、嗔恨、愚痴，以及由此产生的业是不善的，不善业产生一切痛苦，以及一切恶趣。并且，每一个不善业都会产生三种果报：异熟果、等流果和增上果。等流果在《宝鬘论》中说：杀生会导致短命，不予而取会导致贫穷，邪淫会导致仇敌众多，说谎会导致诽谤众多，离间会导致与朋友分离，说粗语会导致听到不悦耳的声音，绮语会导致言语不庄重，贪婪会摧毁心中的希望，害心会带来恐惧，邪见本身就是恶见，饮酒会导致心智迷乱。对于人来说，这些果报，最初都是堕入恶趣。因此，异熟果会导致堕入恶道，即使从中解脱，转生为人，也会遭受等流果的报应。异熟果在《宝鬘论》中说：嗔恨会让人堕入地狱，贪欲会让人前往饿鬼世界，愚痴大多会让人转生为旁生，与此相反，则是天和人。以及，在《世间安立经》中说：如果做了身体的罪业，以及做了语言的罪业，以及做了意念的罪业，众生就会转生到地狱中。互相怀恨，互相残杀，人们互相争斗，在千百万年中，会在等活地狱中转生。驱使他人做不应做之事，人们离间友谊，说虚假的谎言，会在黑绳地狱中转生。牛、山羊、绵羊、水牛，以及野兽、猪、乌鸦，以及其他杀生者，会在众合地狱中转生。杀生者，众生追逐并饮血，行持一切恶劣之业，会转生到呼叫地狱。被黑暗的见解覆盖，被有生命的束缚捆绑，行持神圣之业，会转生到大呼叫地狱。比丘、婆罗门、善人，以及杀害父母，以及杀害上师，那将会在极热地狱中焚烧。如果对法说是非法，对非法说是法，诽谤神圣之人，持有虚无的见解，会堕入无间地狱。

༔ In the Garland of Jewels, it says: Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, and the actions they generate are unwholesome. From unwholesome actions come all sufferings, as well as all the lower realms. Furthermore, each unwholesome action produces three kinds of results: the maturation result, the result similar to the cause, and the dominating result. The result similar to the cause is described in the Garland of Jewels: Killing leads to a short life, taking what is not given leads to poverty, sexual misconduct leads to many enemies, lying leads to many slanders, divisive speech leads to separation from friends, harsh speech leads to hearing unpleasant sounds, idle talk leads to undignified speech, covetousness destroys hope in the mind, malice brings fear, and wrong view is itself a bad view. Drinking alcohol confuses the mind. For humans, these results initially lead to the lower realms. Therefore, the maturation result leads to falling into the lower realms, and even if one is liberated from them and reborn as a human, one will still suffer the result similar to the cause. The maturation result is described in the Garland of Jewels: Hatred throws one into hell, attachment leads one to the world of hungry ghosts, and ignorance mostly leads one to be reborn as an animal. The opposite of these leads to being a god or a human. And, in the Sutra of the Establishment of the World, it says: If one commits sins of the body, and performs sins of speech, and commits sins of mind, sentient beings will be born in the hells. Hating each other and killing each other, people fighting with each other, for hundreds of millions of years, they will be reborn in the Reviving Hell. Forcing others to do what should not be done, people separating friendships, speaking false lies, they will be reborn in the Black Line Hell. Cows, goats, sheep, buffaloes, and wild animals, pigs, crows, and other killers of life, they will be reborn in the Crushing Hell. Those who kill living beings, chasing and drinking blood, practicing all evil deeds, will go to the Howling Hell. Covered by dark views, bound by the bonds of existence, practicing sacred deeds, they will be reborn in the Great Howling Hell. Monks, Brahmins, virtuous people, and those who kill their parents, and those who kill their teachers, will be burned in the Extremely Hot Hell. If one says that Dharma is not Dharma, and says that what is not Dharma is Dharma, slandering holy beings, holding nihilistic views, one will fall into the Avici Hell.

And, the terrifying anger of lust and ignorance, killing people and people, and also killing the places of other beings, those people will surely be reborn in the Reviving Hell. Stealing the property of gods, immortals, Brahmins, killing ascetics, killing cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, and also prey, pigs, vultures, and likewise killing other lives, will be born in the Compounding Hell. Those who hate parents, Buddhas, and Shravakas, and force others to do what should not be done, and break the friendship of people, and slander, lie, and deceive, will be born in the Black Rope Hell. Destroying ascetic vows, killing beings and property, sneaking in, giving alcohol to those who hold vows, will be born in the Howling Hell. Stealing the property of gods, immortals, Brahmins, killing ascetics, lying, slandering, and deceiving, they will go to the Great Howling Hell. Burning temples or the solitary places of the Sangha, and setting fire to forests, those who are called the Hot Hells, will be born there. Slandering the Holy Dharma, killing monks, and those who hold nihilistic views, will be burned in the Extremely Hot Hell. Those who regard the unlawful as Dharma, and regard the Dharma as unlawful, slander the holy ones, those who hold nihilistic views will fall into the Avici Hell. Those who have taken good ascetic vows, but are not good at keeping them, their flesh and bones will surely be devoured by terrifying flames. Wherever one lives by wrong livelihood, even if one lives by it just a little, they will sink into the corpse-dung mire and be devoured by worms. Those who destroy the seeds of the Dharma, and speak untrue words, they will walk on the path of razor blades. Harming married people, in the forest of sword-leaf trees, being cut down, crying, and being devoured by vultures, crows, and owls. Due to lust and attachment, the Silk-cotton tree, the tips of the iron thorns are burning, there are sixteen finger joints, climbing up and being dragged down. If one kills aquatic creatures, fish, etc., they will go to the endless river filled with flames, entering that terrifying place, that person will suffer there. Stealing the objects of body, speech, and mind of the Lama and Sangha, taking off clothes, leaving lice, etc., those who kill beings because of the cold, will surely be born in the Eight Cold Hells.
