Moreover, it constantly becomes a place of veneration, as it is said. In the Sutra of Avalokiteshvara: Whoever, with the mind of Bodhi, prostrates to the stupa of the Teacher, even after hundreds of millions of kalpas, will never be foolish or confused, as it is said. The benefits of building stupas or images are also mentioned in the verses of Gsal rgyal: "The stupas of the Bhagavan, and the images, however many dust particles settle on them, the practitioners who do that, equal to that number, will surely obtain royal power in the heavenly realms and on earth. The samadhi of the form and formless realms, fully experiencing all the supreme grounds, ultimately, from birth, old age, and so on, they will obtain the state of Buddhahood free from suffering." Whoever makes an image of the Victorious One here, their body will be without impurities, soft and vast like the essence of a lotus, liberated from disease, sorrow, suffering, and destruction, as it is said. Whoever makes an image of the Protector of the World, will not be born as a slave, nor will they be born as someone to be sent, they will not become poor, they will not be born into a low caste, and their faculties will never be impaired, as it is said. In the White Lotus Sutra: Whether it be a man or a youth, whoever, in play, joy, or doing secret things, draws images of the Buddha on the wall with fingernails or sticks, all of them will attain Bodhi, as it is said. In the Sutra of the White Lotus of the Good Dharma: On earth and bricks, joyfully making stupas of the Victorious Ones, children, in their play, in those places, for whichever Victorious One it may be, they build stupas. Even making piles of sand, they too will attain Bodhi, as it is said. Whether it be clay, iron, or earth, making images of the Sugatas, hiring others to make pleasing clay sculptures, all of them will attain Bodhi, as it is said. In the Sutra Requested by Strong Arms: For the sake of purifying sins, the stupa of the Sugata, which is the essence of dependent arising, should always be erected, as it is said. Therefore, if you have wealth, you should strive to build images and stupas. If you do not have wealth, you should also make many tsatsas and printed images, as the benefits are extensively taught. Building bridges and boats, and those with virtuous minds helping to build boats, is of great benefit. In the Sutra on the Discrimination of Good and Bad Deeds: In this life, building bridges and boats, causing beings...

What is the reason for the joy of liberation that we manifest? It is that in all lifetimes, the seven treasures are complete, and many beings respect and praise us. When we see each other and go back and forth, many people will respectfully serve us and make offerings. So it is said. In the past, a humble servant with a good heart removed and threw away a stone that was obstructing the road. With this merit, Yama released him and he was born as a human being. He recited many six-syllable mantras, It is said that he was born in the Buddha's land. Therefore, repairing bridges and dangerous roads also has such merit. Even if you offer a flower to the Buddha and throw it into the sky, you can eventually become a Buddha. This is what is said in the "Compassionate White Lotus Sutra." A child offered a handful of soil to the Buddha and was born as a Dharma King named "No Sorrow," becoming the king who ruled half of Jambudvipa. A bean seller offered four beans to a Buddha named "Flying," and with this merit, he was born as a Chakravartin king named "Infinite Fame" who ruled half of the four continents and the Thirty-Three Heavens. A village chief observed the precept of not killing for one day, and eventually became a Buddha named "Benefit." A pig whose body was covered with mud rubbed against a stupa, erasing the cracks. With this merit, he was born as a god. A servant offered a bowl of hot porridge to an ascetic, and with this merit, he was born as a king. An old woman offered To the venerable Katyayana, a mouthful of water was offered, and he was born as a god. A Brahmin girl named "Mo" offered a needle to a layperson, and this person was born as the venerable Shariputra. Offering an amla fruit, he was born as a person with enjoyments comparable to a Chakravartin king. A poor person, having nothing else to offer, with a sincere heart, regarded a handful of rubble as treasure and offered it to the Sangha. As soon as he was born, a rain of seven treasures fell and filled the house. In the past, a merchant offered the many sons of guests he had found to his mother. It is said that the merchant himself obtained the enjoyments of the gods in this life. Therefore, doing good for one's parents also has great benefits for oneself, and one will become wealthy in this life.
