Also joyful! Therefore, there will be no fear of death. It is also said: By offering a lamp to the stupa of a sage, his body will be extremely bright, others cannot invade him, he will have glory, and become the lord of a thousand gods. It is also said: The great sage offered a lamp to the stupa, possessing fame and wealth, possessing excellent qualities, being born into an extremely excellent family, and after being born, he will be able to remember his past lives, his retinue will be complete, and he will become the most excellent. And so on, it is widely said. In the Sutra of Avalokiteshvara, it is said: If you offer one lamp to a Buddha's stupa, from here to the peak of existence, the Buddha land will be filled with gold, and such glory cannot be exhausted. His body will not become ugly, his appearance will be excellent and beautiful, his arms will be like elephant trunks, and his light will shine and travel throughout the world. If hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddha lands are filled with mustard seeds, they can still be counted, measured, and spoken of, but offering one lamp to the Tathagata is not like that. It is also said: By offering a lamp to the Tathagata's stupa, the karma he has done will enable him to become a Chakravartin king, possessing great power, with a pleasing appearance, pleasing to see. It is also said: By offering a lamp to the Tathagata's stupa, he will have the wisdom of liberation, possess the ten powers, be unmixed in this way, reach the other shore of the Dharma, have all-seeing eyes, and become a Sugata. As it is said, for the sake of all sentient beings, in order to attain complete and perfect enlightenment, it is very important to offer as many lamps as possible to the Buddhas, the Bhagavadatas, and the benefits of replenishing life-burning lamps, pacifying, increasing, subduing, and destroying are inconceivable. After that, one must keep the precepts. As it is said in the "Letter to a Friend": Precepts are like the earth for those with and without wealth, and are the basis and support of all virtues. It is also said in the "Mindfulness Sutra": Precepts are mantras. Kings, thieves, fire, and water cannot steal the wealth of precepts, therefore one should always practice precepts. It is also said in Vasubandhu's words on precepts: What is the difference between the ocean and the footprint of an ox? The difference between giving and precepts is also like that. Anyone...
