Its commentary, from what was spoken by the Great Compassionate One himself, the extensive and concise instructions are as follows: This leisure and endowment body is extremely difficult to find, thus it is said. To explain its meaning extensively: Leisure, leisure is eightfold, being separated from the eight states of no leisure is perfect leisure. The eight states of no leisure are: From the Sutra of Mindfulness, "Hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals, barbarians, long-lived gods, wrong views, and an empty Buddha, mutes, these are the eight states of no leisure," thus it is said. How are these without leisure? Hell beings are constantly tormented by the suffering of heat and cold, so they have no leisure for Dharma. Hungry ghosts are burned by the fire of hunger and thirst, so they have no leisure for Dharma. Animals are foolish and ignorant, so they do not know the Dharma and have no leisure. Long-lived gods have no consciousness, so they have no leisure for Dharma, that is, no opportunity. The gods of the desire realm are also long-lived compared to humans, but they are distracted by enjoying temporary pleasures, so they have no leisure for Dharma. Barbarians are difficult to meet with virtuous friends, so they have no leisure for Dharma. Those with wrong views do not believe in the Dharma, so they have no leisure. The so-called empty of Buddhas is the dark age when no Buddhas appear, and the time when the Buddha's teachings do not remain, so they do not know the Dharma and have no leisure. Mutes, although born as humans, are very foolish and their minds are not clear, so they do not understand the Dharma and have no leisure. The human body that is separated from these eight is perfect leisure. Thinking of this, the wise Nagarjuna said: Holding wrong views and animals, hungry ghosts and being born in hell, without the Buddha's teachings and in border areas, being born as barbarians, foolish and mute, long-lived gods, wherever one is born, these are the eight faults of no leisure. The meaning of endowment is: having the five endowments of oneself and the five endowments of others, having all ten is perfect endowment. The five endowments of oneself are from the Compendium of Trainings: "Being human, born in the central land, having complete faculties, not having reversed karma, having faith in the place, these five are the endowments of oneself," thus it is said. That is, being born in a pure human body, the central land is the power of the earth.

If so, even though there are only six cities in the royal capital of India, here, in terms of the Dharma, being born in a place where the holy Dharma flourishes, possessing complete faculties, and having both male and female faculties. Not reversing the results of actions means not committing the five heinous crimes in this life. Having faith in the place means knowing to have faith in the Three Jewels and the Dharma. Having these five complete is the five personal endowments. The five other endowments are: In both the 'Inconceivable Teaching Sutra' and the 'Compendium of Trainings,' it is said: The Buddha came, and he spoke the Dharma, the teachings abide, and following after them, the heart that cares for others is compassion. Thus, now the teacher Shakyamuni Buddha has come into the world, he turned the wheel of Dharma, and the teachings, according to the Nyingma school, are about in the middle of nine five-hundreds. According to Panchen Shakya Shri, it is said to be towards the end of five five-hundreds. In particular, it is said that from the age of sixty to ten, the teachings of the Great Perfection of Mind will flourish, so now practicing the Great Perfection is also the time to quickly generate realization. There must be those who follow the Dharma, because in the degenerate age, disease, famine, and weapons flourish, and people are very discouraged, so many people enter the Dharma gate, considering this, the mind treasures of Orgyen Rinpoche also appear in bad times, which is also for this reason. When the age is rising and happiness is great, people do not remember the Dharma, so the Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon also appear in times of decline, not in times of rising. The heart that cares for others is compassion, that is, the virtuous spiritual friends who have accomplished their own benefit, and the people who teach the Dharma for the benefit of others. These ten gathered together are the gathering of both leisure and endowment, and we, possessing the eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment, are called the pure and precious human body. This is very difficult to obtain. As it says in the 'Great Compassion White Lotus Sutra': It is very difficult to obtain a human birth, it is very difficult to obtain leisure and endowment, the Buddha...
