Thus it is said, from the Tantra of the Great Power: Conduct without view, and view without conduct, these two are the demonic forces of secret mantra, which will cause beings to be born in the Avici hell. Therefore, one should abandon conduct without view, that is the conduct of a Rakshasa. One should abandon view without conduct, that is, asceticism that torments the body, and contempt for the aggregates and other appearances, which is dry conceptual thought. The union of view and conduct is like an elephant standing up together when it stands, and sitting down together when it sits. Thus it is said, from the Tantra of the Garland of Wisdom: Eating, sleeping, and sexual activity are all places for the great yogi to abide, abandoning distraction is abandoning distraction, that is the conduct of a Kusāli. Thus it is said. Furthermore, religious practices such as circumambulation, prostrations, prayers, the generation stage of loving-kindness and compassion, devotion, approach, accomplishment, vows, samayas, and all accumulations of skillful means and merit are not abandoned, but practiced according to their respective treatises. All of these are practiced without clinging to inherent existence, but inseparable from the essence of the view of profound emptiness. Even the intermediate practitioner should practice knowing that they are like illusions and dreams. Even the lowest practitioner ultimately seals their practice with the cultivation of emptiness, which is called the conduct of Samantabhadra. Because there is no distinction between high and low and no room for error, most wise and accomplished beings are pleased with this conduct, which benefits the Buddha's teachings and brings joy to worldly people. Having gained stability in this, a person who is able to work with the channels and winds, and who has received permission from the lama and yidam, should engage with a woman who possesses the characteristics of a dakini, and recognize the wisdom of the four joys. This is only the realm of practice for a few supreme holy individuals; if a fox imitates the leap of a tiger, it will fall into the hell of Shalmalī, it should be understood. Even if one is able to work with the channels and winds, one should still offer the precepts of discipline before acting, as it is stated in the biographies of the great accomplished ones. Relying on this, one goes naked, wearing bone ornaments and a tiger skin skirt, leading a mudra woman as a companion, and wanders in the city. If people beat, revile, or mock, then one displays miracles, this is the conduct of a renunciate. Having gained stability in this, one goes to trade gatherings, large markets, and the palaces of kings, and engages in various inappropriate behaviors. If one is scolded and beaten, then samadhi increases rapidly like a fire spreading in a forest, and one displays

By demonstrating wondrous emanations and placing all in the state of enlightenment, this is called the practice of gathering. By becoming accustomed to this, ignorance is dispelled, and one overcomes sleep; poison also transforms into nectar, thus overcoming food; the contaminated winds cease, thus overcoming the winds; without partiality towards all of samsara and nirvana, this is called the practice of complete victory over partiality, which is the ultimate practice. Practice is related to timing: ordinary individuals should not engage in the practice of yogis; yogis should not engage in the practice of accomplished ones; and accomplished ones should not engage in the practice of Buddhas. Therefore, ordinary individuals should engage in the practice of Samantabhadra; yogis should engage in secret practices such as sexual practices; and accomplished ones should engage in asceticism and gathering practices.

No! Thus it is said. In its commentary, the Great Compassionate One said: After deciding that everything is emptiness, one should not do anything that comes to mind, such as abandoning virtue. Do not cling solely to emptiness. Then, in the same way, do not be influenced by any of the five poisons. Do not cling to good and evil, or anything else, as being real, and do not cling to all phenomena in the same way. To quote some of the teachings that have been said: From the two truths, if one belittles the true conventional truth and becomes accustomed to emptiness, then conventional cause and effect, good and evil, etc., will deceive this life and the next. Relying on just a little hearing, but not understanding the meaning of complete solitude, some people do not accumulate merit, and those inferior people will be destroyed. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Instructions: The demon of the empty view is the demon of nihilistic views, being bewildered is the demon of meditating without meditation, being self-satisfied without thought is the demon of conduct, being distracted by noise and enjoyment is the demon of distraction, being connected to bad karma is the demon of companions, having doubts is the demon of decline, and lacking skillful means is the demon of wisdom. Thus it is said. From the Samadhiraja Sutra: Those who have discriminations say there is existence and non-existence, but practicing in this way will not pacify suffering. Existence and non-existence are both extremes, and purity and impurity are also extremes. Therefore, after completely abandoning both extremes, the wise should not abide in the middle either. Thus it is said. Saraha said: Whoever enters into emptiness without compassion will not attain the supreme path. However, even if one only meditates on compassion, one will not be liberated from samsara. Whoever is able to combine the two will not abide in samsara, nor will he abide in nirvana. Thus it is said. The wise Nagarjuna said: Conventional and ultimate truth, if understood separately, wherever they are properly integrated, that is said to be union. Thus it is said. From the Commentary on the Awakening Mind: After understanding that all phenomena are empty, whatever is taught about karma and its results, this is more wonderful than wonderful, and more amazing than amazing. Thus it is said. From the Praise of the Transcendent: In order to dispel all conceptual thoughts, you revealed the nectar of emptiness, but if someone clings to it, you will severely rebuke him. Thus it is said. From the Sutra Requested by Sagaramati: All sentient beings are without self.
