Looking at external appearances, appearances are without inherent existence, like stars in the ocean. Looking at the inner nature of reality, realizing that all is empty of inherent existence, like the sky. Seeing the secret, self-aware power directly, one is liberated from views that grasp with mental concepts. This is the very essence of a view that is without confusion in the past, present, and future. Furthermore, as stated in the Mother of the Buddhas: "Whether the Tathāgatas appear or do not appear, the suchness of phenomena, the abiding nature of phenomena, and the faultless nature of phenomena are the Tathāgata." Furthermore, as stated in the Vinaya Source: "Whether the Buddhas appear or do not appear, in all circumstances, this uninterrupted nature of reality remains, abandoning increase and decrease." Furthermore, as stated in the Root Tantra of the Kālacakra: "The mind-essence of sentient beings is luminous, primordially free from arising, ceasing, and abiding. From before the beginning, it is the first supreme Buddha, uncorrupted by causeless conditions." Furthermore, as stated in the Māyājāla Tantra: "The nature of all phenomena is luminous, primordially pure and without defilement. There are no sentient beings and no life. There is no Buddhahood and no enlightenment." Furthermore, as stated in the Uttaratantra: "The nature of mind is luminous, and that which is, is unchanging like the sky. Desires and so forth, arising from the misapprehension of reality, do not become afflicted by sudden stains." Furthermore, as stated in the Nirvāṇa Sūtra: "What is called the Buddha-nature is the luminous nature of mind. Emptiness, the ultimate emptiness, is wisdom. What is called emptiness is not seeing both emptiness and non-emptiness." Furthermore, as stated in the Ratnakūṭa Sūtra: "By nature, it is unconditioned, without birth and without destruction. It does not abide in that, it is liberated from the three characteristics. There is no grasping and no intense grasping in all phenomena. There is nothing to be taken or abandoned. The Buddha touches enlightenment." Furthermore, as stated in the Tantra of the Great Compassionate One, the Essence Gathered: "The view of the Great Compassionate One is that appearance and mind are primordially inseparable, free from extremes, self-liberated, without reliance, naturally clear, unidentifiable, and completely pure." Furthermore, as stated in the Tantra of the Great Compassionate One, the First Chapter: "The view of the Great Compassionate One is unfabricated, because the mind is free from its root." Furthermore, as stated in the Crest Jewel of the View of the Great Compassionate One:

In the Tantra, it says: Dharmata, from the very beginning, is unconditioned, its nature abiding as the basis of both samsara and nirvana. Furthermore, in the Heart Tantra spoken by Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara to Songtsen Gampo (reigned approximately 617-650 AD), it says: The meaning of all dharmas is: the inexpressible dharmata, the way of abiding of the meaning, is gathered into the suchness that is unconditioned and naturally arisen. Furthermore, in the Don Trig Drowa Kundrol Tantra, it says: One's own mind, possessing the two truths, does not arise, does not abide, does not go; samsara

Bho! Devoid of acceptance or rejection of existence or non-existence, devoid of a basis for saying 'this,' the nature is clear and empty in the three times, free from elaboration, beyond mind, just as it is, not mistaken, not fabricated. If one realizes the view of emptiness beyond mind, then it is not mistaken. Thus it is said. Orgyen Rinpoche's advice to Vairotsana: Great translator, Great Perfection, free from the three of arising, ceasing, and abiding, the bonds and liberation of mental judgment, in the kingdom of no abandonment and no hearing, hold the indestructible kingdom. Again, the Great Orgyen said: Oh, fortunate son, also called Great Perfection, also called Great Seal, also called Empowerment of the Power of Awareness, also called Insightful Realization, although dividing the view of Trekchö and so on into many names, the meaning is only this one: the genuine, flawless realization of the Buddha, self-aware Samantabhadra. In the interval when the previous realization has ceased and the later has not arisen, this naked clarity and emptiness is the clear clarity of existence and non-existence, an experience that cannot be spoken of, just as it has been from the beginning. However, at this time, due to sudden circumstances, various thoughts arise. Now, from this day forward, the Buddha has been entrusted to you. Therefore, from now on, do not be separated from this nature. Practice in this way, and you will surely attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and one body. Thus it is said. Again, the Great Orgyen said: The essence, definition, characteristics, divisions, and condensed meaning of the view: Among them, the essence of the view is beyond mind, the definition is that it cannot be pointed out, the characteristics are clear, vast, and impartial, the divisions are the eighteen emptinesses and so on as explained in the sutras, and the condensed meaning is the two of realization and non-realization. If realized, Buddhahood is attained. Thus it is said. Thus, the way of determining the ground view has passed. The way of practicing that view through path meditation: From the Vajra Verse: Thus, the Great Perfection, meditate in a state of non-distraction. Thus, and its commentary, the Great Compassionate One directly said: Thus, this Great Perfection, must be meditated in a state of non-distraction even for a moment. If the meaning of what was said is explained, again, from the Root Union Tantra: Non-conceptual, clear, empty, self-arising
