The nature of consciousness: These two, between the blocked upper and lower ends of the central channel, are filled with wind like life, its color like the sky. It is the dwelling of the intermingling of karma and wisdom, which binds body and mind inseparable, and is the firm foundation for generating the memory of self and possession. If this wind moves or deviates even slightly, fainting and madness will arise. If this wind deviates and escapes outward, it is said to cut off life and die, hence it is called the wind of no compassion. Now it is called the Wisdom Protector or the life wind. This can also be divided into, generally speaking, the karma wind that serves as the mount of consciousness, and the wisdom wind that is free from coming and going. With the karma wind's alaya consciousness acting, like waves of water, many conceptual thoughts arise. Following them, many karmas and afflictions are accumulated, and thus one wanders in samsara. Just as if one grabs the reins of a horse, that person cannot walk, so if one can hold the wind, conceptual thoughts will gradually cease, and it will transform into the non-conceptual wisdom wind. Ordinary consciousness, which is the clear light mahamudra, is the wisdom wind. The nature of mind is clear and non-conceptual, its essence is the great wind of wisdom, as it is said. Therefore, all ordinary deluded conceptual thoughts are the same in meaning as the karma wind, and self-aware clear light non-conceptualization is the same in meaning as the wisdom wind. Regarding this, there are endless explanations of the vajra body, but the root lies in the central channel and the two, A and Huti. Therefore, do not let the mind wander elsewhere. If one can hold the wind-mind within the Avadhuti, wisdom will arise. Therefore, it is crucial to focus on this. This is also because the body is upright and resides in the central channel, so one mostly practices there. However, this is the channel of wisdom, so practice is crucial. Sometimes, one visualizes the entire body as pervaded by the central channel, so wherever one holds the channel-wind, the key to generating qualities arises. Sometimes, one visualizes as pervading like the sky, and the central channel also pervades it, so there is the key to generating the experience of the merging of appearance and mind. Likewise, from the syllable "Hum" at the crown of the head, a stream of nectar white bodhicitta descends, and one visualizes it filling the entire body, so blissful experiences arise, and heat disorders and wind diseases are pacified. Likewise, the nectar white bodhicitta from the syllable "Hum" at the crown of the head, possessing the experience of bliss, fills the body.

Radiating outwards from the pores, filling the sky, space, and earth, meditate on burning in bliss-emptiness, so that all appearances arise as bliss. From the short "A" at the navel, flames blaze, filling the entire body. Meditate on burning away the impure aggregates, elements, and sense bases, along with afflictions, transforming into a body of wisdom, thereby purifying obscurations. Blissful warmth blazes, food is digested, and cold diseases subside. Meditate on the flames circling outwards from the pores, burning the dwelling and surrounding areas, thereby dispelling demons and preventing obstacles. Meditate on burning in the vastness of the sky, burning away the obscurations of all sentient beings, thereby attaining vast merit. Thus, gather back the flames and bodhicitta that have radiated outwards, and finally dissolve them into the "Ah Hum" of the body. The meaning of these is also from the glorious Kalachakra Tantra: The appearance of the mind is merely what arises in one's own mind, like a reflection in a mirror. All the teachings of the sons of the Victorious Ones and the Buddhas are the teachings of the yogic masters. The intensely blazing flame of wisdom burns away all the hordes of demons and their armies. The joints and so forth of the body also bring about the decline of bliss due to the yogi's practice over the years. Thus it is said. Among these, there are three types of tummo: karmic tummo, yogic tummo, and supreme tummo. The first is ignited from the secret place by relying on seals and so forth. The second is ignited by residing in the navel and holding the breath. The third is burning away afflictions with the fire of wisdom. Alternatively, there are three types of tummo: karmic tummo, experiential tummo, and supreme tummo. The first is to hold the breath with the fourfold combination of winds, possessing the key points of the body, and to meditate clearly on the object, because it is necessary to exert effort in the activities of body, mind, and wind. The second is also divided into common and special. The first is: When the wind is grasped, first warmth arises, second bliss arises, and third non-conceptual thought arises. Then conceptual thoughts naturally cease, and appearances like smoke, mirages, fireflies, and the dawn of light arise, like pure clouds in the sky. Thus it is said, and such signs appear. The third is: The uncreated, innate, co-emergent abides in the stainless samadhi. Thus it is said, and when the wind dissolves into the central channel, supreme accomplishment is attained.
