Sa! The winds of karma flow in two channels. The earth wind is five thousand four hundred. The winds of fire, water, and wind are each the same amount, totaling twenty-one thousand six hundred. As the Compendium of Tantras says: The winds that rely on the channels are twenty-one thousand one hundred. Furthermore, according to the movement of the mind, the winds flow in the inner channels. As the Compendium of Tantras says: The winds that definitely flow from the channels are one hundred twenty-six thousand six hundred. They definitely arise from the channels and are considered subtle flowing winds. This is its characteristic. Another tradition, as the instructions of the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury say: The life-sustaining wind, the pervasive wind, the fire-equalizing wind, the upward-moving wind, and the downward-cleansing wind. The winds that flow through the sense faculties of the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body are ten in total. If these are gathered together, there are ten winds, and the five winds of the elements. The five root winds are: life-sustaining, downward-cleansing, upward-moving, pervasive, and equalizing. These five are the root winds. The five branch winds are: dragon-named, iru, kurma, krikala, and dhananjaya. These five. For extensive details, know from elsewhere. This characteristic was spoken by the master tulku. Furthermore, these are gathered into the two: the winds of karma and the winds of wisdom. Therefore, by holding the wind, the winds of karma gradually transform into the winds of wisdom. Thus, the qualities of the signs of the path arise. All the winds of karma transform into the winds of wisdom. It is said that if they enter the central channel, supreme accomplishment is attained. Therefore, the key point of wind practice is like this. As the Compendium of Tantras says: When the elements of the body are exhausted, when the thoughts of the mind cease, when non-conceptual wisdom arises, when outer appearances are exhausted, and when wind and mind are mixed as one, then all the functions of the wind are accomplished. Thus it is said. All mantra recitation and accomplishment are complete in the three: entering, abiding, and going forth. Entering within is OM. Abiding in the belly is AH. AH is the life of all letters, so all long and short mantras are complete in it. Going forth is HUM, which is the conclusion of all mantras. The three kayas are also complete in it. Knowing the key point of this, the three of wind arising, entering, and abiding are made as one. Without reciting with speech, but counting, this is vajra recitation of the wind, the ladder for all deity recitation and accomplishment. If this is practiced, it is also the supreme method for accomplishing longevity. As the Compendium says: The protector who is the nature of wind, the body like...

Also, understand these three. Entering is the Dharmakaya, abiding is the Sambhogakaya, appearing is the Nirmanakaya, it is said. These are considered as the three Kayas. And, the yogi, through Samadhi, should count the entering air. Until a number like one hundred thousand, constantly and silently recite. When the practitioner silently completes the recitation of one hundred thousand times, even if the lifespan is reduced by five years, one can survive, there is no doubt about this. Constantly getting up in the morning, one should count one thousand breaths. Therefore, for the yoga of air, one should constantly abide in Samadhi. Thus it is said. Therefore, even if one cannot continuously count the three places of origin, dwelling, and going of the air, one should know that it is the same during walking, dwelling, and behavior, and controlling with the intermediate air is equivalent to controlling the air. The intermediate air is slightly contracting the lower gate and relaxing the abdomen. When sleeping at night, visualize the entering air as (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Om), the abiding in the body as (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal meaning: Ah), and the exhaling as (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), then sleep. The number of air movements during sleep is the same as the mantra recitation, so one can obtain great power without effort, this is a profound key point. When busy during the day, even if there is no time to control the intermediate air, just remembering that the three places of origin, dwelling, and going of the air are three syllables, just remembering is equivalent to reciting the mantra, this is an important key point. In particular, when practicing Tummo here, the air to be practiced is vase breathing. For this great vase, there are two views: from below the throat to above the secret place, the body filled with air is the great vase, filling up to above the heart is the middle vase, and filling only the abdomen is the small vase. Another way is to sit in the lotus position, touch the forehead and two knees with the palms, and snapping one's fingers is counted as one. Being able to continuously hold the air in the body for one hundred and eight times is the great vase, being able to hold it for seventy-two times is the middle vase, and if one cannot exceed thirty-six times, it is considered the small vase. Pressing the upper air down and raising the lower air up, filling the body, this is definitely vase breathing. As it is said in the Samucchaya Tantra: The air that goes up and down, combine with the mind, get used to that yoga, thereby obtaining a stable position. Thus it is said as the concluding remarks of the great vase. Or
