This is the place! You must go to the junction of the rocks, and after going, it must be like not making a mistake. Three kinds of errors can also occur at this time: Regarding the meaning of the scriptures, after hearing and thinking, having a dry understanding that 'all dharmas are empty and without self,' meditation will not be effective; this is the first error, which leads to habituation. This situation happens to those with merit, not to others. Reciting the mantras of 'Svabhava' (藏文:སྭ་བྷ་ཝ་,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,汉语字面意思:Self-nature) and 'Shunyata' (藏文:ཤུ་ནྱ་ཏ,梵文天城体:शून्यता,梵文罗马拟音:śūnyatā,汉语字面意思:Emptiness), and contemplating that all dharmas have become emptiness like the sky, this is the second error, which leads to proliferation, and meditation will not be effective. This situation happens to those who have not received tantric instructions. The five poisons of afflictions are the enemies that lead us to the prison of samsara. To destroy these enemies, contemplating emptiness is the third error, which leads to antidote. This situation happens to Geshes who mainly practice the Shravaka vehicle. Here, the Secret Mantra tradition says that not abandoning the five poisons is a vow. Observing the nature of the five poisons, if you recognize that they are the five wisdoms, whether you recognize it or not, the function is the same, so do not regard them as enemies. Similarly, thinking that the mind is emptiness and will not be stained by good or evil, and not fearing the results of karma, is the view of the black, rambling demon of wrong views. Therefore, the Vidyadhara Nagarjuna said, 'If you look at emptiness wrongly, those with little wisdom will be destroyed.' This refers to this situation, so for those who consider themselves practitioners of Dzogchen, this situation is very likely to occur, so careful conduct is very important. Do not dislike the arising of many thoughts. If you stop thoughts and think that not thinking anything is meditation, this is the view of the Hwashang sect. Here, you observe the nature of whatever thought arises, so do not choose to abide or move. Although it has been said many times from the preliminaries onwards to leave the mind unaltered and abide, in summary, what could be more artificial than that? Saying to relax and abide means that even if the mind wanders, do not stop it. In this way, even without attachment to bliss, clarity, and non-thought, all three of bliss, clarity, and non-thought are complete. Realizing that the nature of abiding naked, bare, and clear is emptiness, even if thoughts arise, they subside in themselves like water and waves. This is single-pointedness and the samadhi of abiding. The Vidyadhara Garab Dorje said that the signs, benefits, and where such a person will be reborn after death: 'After abandoning the noise of samsara, when abiding in a solitary place, if the accumulation of faults has not yet arisen, then abide in that state as much as possible.' For example, a person filled with fear...

When diligently progressing on the path, if one can see the appearance of one's own homeland, it is like having no fear of realization. Disgust arises towards the laws of samsara, and compassion arises towards sentient beings. One does not cling to one's own dwelling, and desires to go to distant other places. When that yogi ceases, he will surely obtain a human body, and having the practice of Dharma, at that time he will see the truth of Dharma nature. Thus it is said. At that time, only the understanding that all dharmas are mind arises. Although one realizes that the mind is empty, there is still a grasping of the object to be seen and the seer. Affairs are complicated, afflictions raise their heads, and renunciation and the mind of renunciation are especially important at this time. Faith in the lama arises, and compassion and loving-kindness focused on sentient beings should also be cultivated at this time. Then, in this Dzogchen tradition, it is called the immovable samadhi. Mahamudra is free from elaboration. It is said to be a heroic samadhi that goes beyond all dharmas. All experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought vanish like a rainbow. This is the key point of meditation and the clinging to certainty. The object to be seen and the seer merge into one. There is no such thing as this meditation or that meditation. There is no such thing as this view or that view, and it is as if the previous meditation has been lost. At this time, if one has little learning, one will suffer, thinking that one has lost meditation. Even if one tries hard to return to the way it was before, it will not work. If one is too greedy, one will think that there is no meditation and utter many empty words. Saying that there is no meditation and that it is enough to know one's own nature, one places one's hope on a dry view of the ground Mahamudra, and there is a danger of acting improperly and remaining in that state. Some people think that this is not right, that it has disappeared, and there is a great danger of giving up. The lama's introduction is very important. If there is no lama, one can recognize one's own nature by looking at the words of the great accomplished ones, as if one has met them. This is seeing the essence, truly realizing ordinary awareness, and merely seeing the face of freedom from elaboration. Although there is no key point to this meditation, it is very important to repeatedly and clearly awaken the memory of not being distracted. All the introductions to emptiness will be understood at this time. This is also what is inexpressible, unthinkable, and unspeakable. This is also the selflessness of the person. At this time, devotion and prayer are very important, and sometimes relying on solitude and sometimes mixing with distraction will generate power. Even if conceptual thoughts have not decreased, conceptual thoughts do not harm meditation.
