He subdued the hordes of demons with it. Although the Buddhas do not have the conceptual thought of wanting to take care of those who have faith and respect for them, in their past lives as Bodhisattvas, they were accustomed to love and compassion and made aspirations. Therefore, even when remembering the Buddhas now, compassion and blessings enter. In the past, the daughter of King Solgyal, named Dorje, was ugly and became a disgrace to the king. She was hidden in a dark room in the nine-storied treasury. She developed faith in the Buddha and kept him in mind. The Bhagavan came there and shone rays of light on her, and she became beautiful. Although the Buddha did not come there, it was said to be the power of being accustomed to love and compassion. Also, the border king Phakkyepo shaved the heads of many daughters of the Shakya clan and turned them into servants. When they prayed to the Buddha, the Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha) came there, washed their wounds, applied medicine, and healed them. This was also the power of love and compassion, and the Buddha did not come there either. Like that, meditating on the object of love and compassion, giving and taking, can prevent contagious diseases such as leprosy and epidemics. Also, curses, spells, and evil spirits cannot harm you. It is the supreme protection. As it says in the Magical Net: 'The armor of love is put on, and the helmet of compassion is worn.' Orgyen Rinpoche said: 'The protection of generating the mind of supreme Bodhicitta is to meditate on all sentient beings attaining supreme Bodhi.' That is, all beings, especially those who harm, are taken in by breath and held by knowledge. May they all have happiness and be free from suffering, and may they attain the state of the three bodies of the Buddha. For that purpose, think of meditating on deities, reciting mantras, and placing body, speech, and mind in virtue. That is the best of all protections. Do not cut off the means by which the harmer accomplishes his own purpose. ' That is what he said. That kind of meditation is the common love and compassion meditation of the outer Sutra tradition. In the inner Tantra tradition, the meditation on love and compassion is to visualize oneself as the deity of love and compassion, the Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara, with a white body, one face, and four arms. From his body, white rays of light radiate, striking all sentient beings and filling them with immeasurable happiness.
