From this, transform into the body of the Victorious One. Since it transforms into a priceless jewel, one should firmly grasp this thing called Bodhicitta. All other virtuous deeds are like trees, they bear fruit and then are exhausted. The Bodhi tree constantly bestows fruit and increases without end. Even if one commits extremely unbearable sins, like relying on a hero, relying on it, one is liberated in an instant. Why wouldn't the mindful rely on it? It is like the fire at the end of time, which will surely burn sinners in an instant. This is also the supreme nectar that destroys the Lord of Death of beings. This is also the inexhaustible treasure that eliminates the poverty of beings. This is the rising of the moon of the mind that alleviates the suffering of beings' afflictions. This is the great sun that dispels the darkness of beings' wisdom. Thus it is said. Thus, without love and compassion, even if one only meditates on emptiness, one will not attain complete enlightenment. Because one will fall into the path of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers of the Lesser Vehicle, it is also the main one for dispelling obstacles. In the Jewel Heap Sutra, it is said: For example, in the sky, there is no such thing as a seed growing. There is no past, future, or present. Likewise, in the unconditioned, the Buddhadharma has not grown before, nor will it grow. Thus it is said. Likewise, in the Vimalakirti Sutra, it is said: Son of good family, for example, in a desolate land, flowers such as lotuses, water lilies, and blue lotuses do not grow. But they grow in mud and water, and then they grow. Son of good family, likewise, the Dharmas of the Buddhas do not grow in a mind that has definitely attained the unconditioned. Thus it is said. Thus, for the suffering of sentient beings of the six realms, if one feels compassion and cannot bear it, and if there is a way, one wishes to enter their state oneself and liberate others. Just meditating on this is love and compassion focused on sentient beings, and it is the first object of meditation. If one realizes that all phenomena of appearance and existence are like illusions, dreams, and reflections of the moon in water, then, because those who do not realize this are confused and suffer, meditating on compassion is love and compassion focused on phenomena. In the view of realizing that all sentient beings are without inherent existence and without self and other, compassion naturally arises for beings who are confused by not realizing this, which is without focus.

Although it is said that compassion and great innate samadhi, but for the time being, the first is the object of meditation, Orgyen Rinpoche said: May all the happiness of my body, enjoyment, accumulated virtues, the experience of bliss and emptiness, and the happiness of body, speech, and mind be attained by my kind parents! May all the non-virtues, illnesses, sufferings, and bad karma of the body, speech, and mind of my kind parents ripen upon me! In this way, dedicate with your mind, and also briefly in your speech, with unbearable compassion, practice being able to definitely exchange self and others. After saying this, it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: If one does not truly exchange one's own happiness for the suffering of others, one will not attain Buddhahood and will have no happiness, what happiness is there in samsara? Having said this, the custom here is to practice compassion and loving-kindness at the same time, combining it with the breath, which is the object of giving and receiving. Keep the body straight and exhale a breath. When the breath goes out from the nostrils, all of one's own happiness and the root of virtue, like drops of water, dissolve into all parents and sentient beings, so that they have immeasurable happiness, and the cause of happiness, body, speech, and mind, enjoy the uncontaminated virtues. This meditation is loving-kindness. When inhaling, all the suffering and defilements of all parents and sentient beings, like drops of water, dissolve into oneself, so that they are free from all suffering, and free from all defilements, the cause of suffering. This meditation is compassion. Recite in words: May all sentient beings have happiness and the cause of happiness, and be free from suffering and the cause of suffering. Recite in this way, and in each session, combine the object with the breath, doing it about a hundred or twenty-one times. During the instructions, meditate four or six times in a session. If you are worried that you will experience bad suffering by meditating in this way, it is impossible, because suffering arises from defilements, and happiness arises from virtue. This is the best of virtues, so it is impossible to create suffering. Moreover, even for enemies, demons, and fierce evil spirits, by focusing on them and meditating, harm will be pacified, and even demons will take vows and become protectors. The Bhagavan also taught the samadhi of loving-kindness.
