Nare Che! Again and again, contemplate, "How pitiful! How pitiful!" as it is said. Because there is not a single sentient being who has not been a mother. And not just once, but countless times. The time spent as a mother is so long, as kind as our present mother. In the Sutra of Beginningless Samsara, it says: Each individual's body, the accumulation of bones, even if piled up like Mount Sumeru, has already passed away. The beginning and end of mothers are as numerous as the seeds of a cypress tree. Even if made into balls, they cannot fill the earth. It also says: Who has not been my mother? Just drinking the milk of a mother is more than the water of the four great oceans. Who has not been my father? The horses and elephants given are more than the Brahma world. Also, in the Bodhicharyavatara, it says: There is not a single sentient being who has not let me sleep without hunger, who has not given wealth, protected, and so on, who has not toiled for my benefit. Not a single one, so have compassion for all. Therefore, all sentient beings are parents, so you must cultivate loving-kindness and compassion for them. The method of cultivation is what Padmasambhava said: In a solitary place, abide in meditative equipoise, the mudra of joined palms is the mudra of sorrow. Raise the right leg, support the elbow, supporting the sandalwood. Extend the left leg. Then, cultivate loving-kindness and compassion for the suffering of the three lower realms: Alas! In the hot hells, in the triple iron chamber, great fires blow from all directions, burning for countless years, the body charred and rotten, a bloody mess, even so, karma does not allow them to die. They call out to father, mother, wife, friends, children, relatives. Ah! Even calling for a long time is useless. There is nothing to be done, how pitiful in my heart! What method can I use to help them? How pitiful in my heart! In the cold hells, in the snow-covered mountains, rocks, glaciers, the body is frozen and cracked into pieces. Internal organs exposed, shivering with cold, stinging unbearably. The heart, liver, and lungs are frozen and cracked into pieces. Mouth tightly closed, teeth chattering, body trembling, the amplitude is one cubit long. Eyes rolling back, occasionally making sounds of "Ashu Azama Zizi." One must stay in kalpas without years or months, how pitiful! What method can I use to help them? Thinking whether I can take their suffering in their place, generate strong compassion, not just talking about it. And like the trees of the Shalmali forest and the boundless ashes, the forest of swords, and so on, dying and reviving, and so on.

If you practice like the common Dharma, the Lama should know. Then again, meditate with compassion on the suffering of the pretas. The preta's body is as big as a large house, the head is like a pottery pot, the throat is as thin as a needle, and they cannot find food even for an eon, and they suffer. They run everywhere from hunger and thirst. Even if they find a hundred paths, the food will not go down their throats. Even if a little goes in, it turns into angry water in the stomach and burns, which is even more painful. How pitiful, meditate without distraction. Also, hearing the smell and sound of food and water, they search in many places day and night for years and months, but cannot find it, and they are extremely tired and cry out in pain, unable to die. How pitiful, thinking, 'If only I could help,' meditate like this. Also, there is a kind of preta who is weakened by hunger and thirst and goes in all directions. Seeing food from afar, they struggle to get close due to hunger, thirst, and exhaustion, but are guarded by people holding flames and weapons, and cannot get it, so they struggle away in hunger and despair. Also, seeing water,
