From the 'Manifest Enlightenment of Sarvavid': "The mind, even the Tathagata does not see it, does not not see it, and will not see it." Also, from the 'Explanation of the Bodhichitta': "Neither inside, nor outside, nor in between the two, have the Victors found the mind." Also, from the 'Sutra Requested by Kashyapa': "Kashyapa, the mind is not inside, nor is it outside, nor is it perceived as being in both. Kashyapa, the mind is beyond examination, without support, without appearance, without discrimination, without location. Kashyapa, the mind is not seen by the Buddhas, nor will it be seen. Kashyapa, the mind cannot be found even when sought everywhere. That which is not found is not perceived. That which is not perceived is neither past, nor future, nor present." As it is said, searching for the mind and examining the shape and color of the mind, etc., is unnecessary to do; even if done, it will not be found. Because it is not found, some with small minds seem very distressed. So, what is the nature of the mind? From the 'Inquiry of Maitreya': Maitreya asked: "How should one view the mind within?" The reply: "The mind is without shape, without color, without location, like the sky." Also, from the 'Compilation': "Forms are not seen, feelings are not seen, perceptions are not seen, and the mind is not seen. Where consciousness, mind, and intellect are not seen, that is seeing the Dharma, as taught by the Tathagata." Also, from the 'Sutra of Samadhi Like the Sky': "With the nectar of the noble Lama, know your own mind to be like the sky. Not straying from its meaning, that is taught as Samadhi." Also, from the 'Sutra of the Samadhi of the Ocean of Wisdom': "All phenomena are sealed with the mind, sealed because the mind has no substance. Whatever knows the nature of the mind, that is the practice of yoga." Also, from the 'Sutra of the Noble Banner': "The inconceivable Samadhi is explained to those who practice yoga. All of these have one meaning: that the mind itself is said to abide in emptiness." Also, from the 'Sutra of the Secret Treasury': "All waters become one in the ocean. Various different Samadhis have one taste in the realm of Dharma. Know Samadhi in this way." Also, from the 'Sutra of the Samadhi of Heroic Progress':

All sentient beings have one mind; the meaning of clear light, unborn. The hero who destroys afflictions; therefore, it is called Samadhi. In the Sutra of the Play of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara asked, "In the final age, many will enter the wrong path by naming it the path. What is the true path?" The answer was, "The true path is the non-conceptual Middle Way without error." The question was, "Then, do all Buddhas and sentient beings go through the path of the mind?" The answer was, "Just as kings and commoners all travel on the great road, Buddhas and all sentient beings travel on the great road of the mind. Therefore, yogis arise and should diligently practice the path of the mind." Furthermore, in the Hevajra Tantra, it says, "Self-awareness, wisdom, free from elaboration; if sound and words are involved, it is a mistake. The nature of one's own clear light; if obscured by the darkness of ignorance, it is a mistake. Phenomena, emptiness, equal in taste; if there is acceptance and rejection, it is a mistake. Desires naturally cease, then it is peaceful; if obstructed with difficulty, it is a mistake. Self-awareness, empty of desire; if relying on the five desires, it is a mistake. Dharma nature, abandon inferiority and abundance; adding exaggerations and slandering is a mistake. Meditation itself is realization; non-meditation is also realization; if clinging to meditation and non-meditation, it is a mistake. Buddhas and sentient beings are non-dual; if clinging to them as two, it is a mistake. Conventional and ultimate are non-dual; if clinging to them as two truths, it is a mistake." It also says, "There is no meditator, no object of meditation; meditating on the meaning of non-meditation, non-meditation itself is the supreme meditation. If one's own mind is seen by oneself, how can one see substance and characteristics? Non-seeing itself is the supreme seeing. As above, even looking is not allowed; look at the meaning of non-seeing; not looking is also the supreme looking. Thoughts are naturally burned from the beginning; perform the fire offering of that which cannot be burned; non-burning itself is the supreme burning. There is no offerer, no object of offering; the offering of that which cannot be offered; not offering is also the true offering; self-awareness offering is the supreme offering. Perform the austerity without difficulty; the austerity of emptiness is the supreme austerity. Protect the meaning of that which cannot be protected; self-awareness vow is the supreme vow."
