Thus, calm abiding and insight meditation; the inseparability of movement and the emptiness of the nature of movement is the union of calm abiding and insight. The Great Orgyen (Guru Rinpoche) said, "Its sound is unceasing, in a place without location, it is self-illuminating, naked and vividly clear, this is called insight. These two wisdoms are instantaneously inseparable as one; its nature remains distinctly, this is called the union of calm abiding and insight." Thus he said. Furthermore, the scriptural authority that demonstrates this is: The Vajra Peak Tantra says, "All phenomena are without substance; without characteristics and without birth; without characteristics, like the sky; completely abandon all objects of focus." Also, Vajradhara said, "The Buddha of definite fruition, knows the nature of the completely pure Dharmakaya; just that is Buddhahood; it is the intention of Samantabhadra." Also, the great accomplished Padmasambhava said, "Whatever is said is a false and wrong view, abandon it; whatever you are attached to, let it go; if it becomes conceptual thought, everything is that; no one can know anything other than that." Also, "The mind left uncorrected is the Buddha; walking, standing, lying down, sitting, let everything be relaxed; the root of all conceptual thoughts is the mind; because there is no mind, there are no conceptual thoughts." Also, "All phenomena are one's own mind; other than the mind, there is not even a particle of other phenomena; whoever realizes the mindlessness from the beginning, he finds the sacred intention of the Buddhas of the three times." Also, "Some fools are bound by the distinctions of the mind; leaving the master at home, they seek elsewhere; some cling to reflections as real; some abandon the root and prune the branches, how are they deceived without realizing it? Alas! Although children do not realize this truth, I realize it unmovingly in the nature of this truth; I have come to know the beginning and end of myself; I see my self, my own self is a naga, a single body." Also, Padmavajra said, "The nature of mind is the great seal, empty of names, free from elaboration; like the nature of space, it is originally empty of names, and the same. The unborn nature of the essence, free from the reality of signs, pervading everything like space, without change or transformation." Also, the direct disciple of the great teacher Padmasambhava, the Pandit Kamalashila, who was later known as the Holy One in India, said, "The unborn Dharmakaya is like the essence of the sun, the light"

Dingriwa, clarity has no increase or decrease! Thoughts flow, empty like thieves! Dingriwa, in reality, there is no gain or loss! Feelings leave no trace, like ripples on water! Dingriwa, illusions leave no trace! Habitual memories are like rainbows in the sky! Dingriwa, attachment has no fixed point! Movement vanishes, appearing like a rainbow! Dingriwa, the mind has no fixation! Without grasping, self-liberation, like autumn clouds! Dingriwa, there is no grasping at other places! Awareness is without substance, like bird tracks in the sky! Dingriwa, there is no obstruction in experience! Understanding the nature of mind is like a dream in a sudden moment! Dingriwa, it is beyond words and concepts! So it is said. In the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, it says: There is no mind on the mind, the nature of mind is luminosity. In the Ornament of Dense Array, it says: The nature of mind is co-emergent bliss and emptiness! It is the supreme realm of Akanishta! The Dakini Wind-Winged One says: Alas! If you see this self-aware king! All, all is the path to liberation! If you do not realize this self-awareness! Then there will never be liberation! So it is said. The Heruka Tantra, the Sutra of the Nature of Space, and the Three Ornaments of Realization all say: In this, there is nothing to be removed! There is nothing to be established! Look at reality as it is! Seeing reality as it is, one is liberated! So it is said. In the Guhyagarbha Tantra, it says: There is no bondage, and no liberation! The Dharma of the Buddha, spontaneously perfect from the beginning! So it is said. The great Siddha Padmasambhava says: Son, look at your own mind! Look, there is no accomplishment in the mind! This mind-essence without accomplishment! Various appearances are very wonderful! One's own mind, unborn, is the Dharmakaya! The Dharmakaya has no birth or death! Unborn is the body of great bliss! It exists within oneself, it is very wonderful! One's own mind is the mirror of the Dharmakaya! The light of non-dual wisdom arises! Just arising, there is no accomplishment! It is co-emergent great bliss! So it is said. In the thirty-third chapter, it says: All of the three realms arise from the mind! However, that mind cannot be pointed out! Without form, not explained in the scriptures, like an illusion! The wise should seek the Dharma-nature of the mind! When he seeks the Dharma-nature of the mind! He does not see the mind and the Dharma-nature of the mind! With what mind does this mind seek? The self-nature of that mind is not seen! So it is said.
