All the Earth Bodhisattvas dissolve into your own Yidam Great Compassionate One, which is the gathering of all Yidams. The root mantra, heart mantra, and near-heart mantra of all of them dissolve into the six syllables in the heart, and contemplate them as the gathering of all secret mantras, knowledge mantras, and dharani mantras. Contemplate this not just once, but diligently. It is the key instruction that one lama, one deity, and one mantra can accomplish everything. Then, light radiates from the revolving syllables, and all the outer world transforms into the Pure Land of Sukhavati. All sentient beings of the inner six realms transform into the form of the Great Compassionate One. Clearly contemplate all beings seen by the eye as the form of the Great Compassionate One. Even if you cannot clearly visualize it, generate faith that it is the Great Compassionate One. This is the practice of appearance as the form. If it is clear, it is acceptable even if the boundary is not reached. Recite the six-syllable mantra, humming like the sound of a bee. Contemplate that all sentient beings of the six realms are reciting the six-syllable mantra "uru uru" as if you are raising your rosary. Contemplate that all sounds are the sound of the six-syllable mantra. This is the practice of sound. If it is clear, it will go beyond hundreds of millions in an instant. It is the supreme key instruction to accomplish the noble one with a hundred and eight mantras. It is acceptable even if you have not accomplished the vow of silence. It is said that the amount of learning and recitation on the rosary will also make up for omissions and deficiencies. If the practice is good, contemplating these objects without the mind wandering is the supreme union of generation and completion stages. Thoughts arise and appear as contemplation, and when thoughts appear as contemplation, it is union. If a beginner cannot achieve union in this way, first contemplate the objects of the generation stage with one-pointedness. Because the mind abides on the object, it is shamatha. When the practitioner attentively observes their own mind with their mind, clearly seeing the emptiness without any fabrication, that is vipassana. Remain in that state as it is. Again, look at the nature of the arising thoughts and let them self-liberate. After becoming accustomed to that, there is no need to nakedly observe the nature of thoughts. Even if some movement occurs in the state of abiding, it does not harm the abiding. Dissolution occurs in the state of abiding. After becoming accustomed to that, thoughts arise as contemplation. Now there is still one thing to observe in the mind, so the nature has not been seen.

It is like this. Then, the seer and the seen become one. Towards clarity, comfort, emptiness, and so on, there should be a definite recognition and holding. This "nothing at all," this "not meditating on anything," is different from before, and you yourself will have doubts. Other than sitting quietly, there is nothing to do. If this happens, you will see the nature of ordinary consciousness. If you separate from that guardian of awareness, you will fall into ordinary confusion, so just don't separate from the non-distracted guardian of awareness. Tilopa said, "Mind without support is the Great Seal. If you become accustomed to and familiar with it, you will attain unsurpassed enlightenment." This is what is being said now. The best way to cut off its obstacles and wrong paths, and to enhance it, is guru yoga. Visualize yourself as Amitabha, the lord of the family on the crown of the head of Great Compassion Avalokiteshvara, clearly remembering. Invite all the root and lineage gurus, and merge them into it. Recite whatever prayer you know, or recite in the manner of the six-syllable mantra prayer, or with intense devotion and reverence, causing your hair to stand on end and tears to flow. The prayer should also be like a loud call. After praying in this way, by the power of blessing, whatever experience arises, maintain it, so that there will be no obstacles or wrong paths. Then, relying on generating bodhicitta, loving-kindness, and compassion to enhance it, that is: all sentient beings of the six realms have been your parents many times, are infinitely kind mothers, but they cannot be liberated from the suffering of the six realms, generate intense compassion for this. At the same time as blowing a breath out of your nostrils, whatever merit and virtue you have, like drops of water, dissolve into all sentient beings. In this way, all sentient beings obtain immeasurable happiness. Meditate that they possess the cause of happiness—immeasurable merit, and say with words or thoughts: May all sentient beings possess happiness and the cause of happiness. At the same time as inhaling, gather all the suffering and defilements of all sentient beings, like drops of water, and dissolve them into yourself. In this way, your own body of Avalokiteshvara, like adding wood to a fire, blazes with greater splendor. Meditate that all sentient beings are free from the respective sufferings of the six realms, and free from the cause of suffering—all defilements. Meditate that all sentien
