After visualizing the refuge field, recite the refuge prayer a hundred times. Dissolve the refuge field into yourself and repeatedly observe your own mind. That will be sufficient. (6) The profound instruction of great compassion: A method for turning everything you do into the path to enlightenment. You should cultivate loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment. As it says in the Vajra verses of Avalokiteśvara: For the sake of all beings pervading the sky, Generate the supreme mind of enlightenment. The six pāramitā disciplines, The sons of the Buddhas should always practice. So it is said. In the Sutra Requested by Glorious Giving it says: More meritorious than filling Buddhafields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with the seven precious substances and offering them to the protector of the world, is to join your palms and generate the mind of enlightenment. This offering is supreme, and its merit is endless. So it is said. Therefore, you also receive the vows as a side effect of empowerment, so that is enough. Although there are many things to protect in the Bodhisattva vows, it is difficult for ordinary people to know and impossible to protect them. Therefore, whatever virtue you do, great or small, generate the thought that you are doing it for the benefit of all sentient beings, and afterwards, generate the thought that by this virtue, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings. That is sufficient. The Sutra says: Great King, you have many affairs and many things to do, so you cannot accomplish all the deeds of a Bodhisattva, but whether you go, stand, or sit, do not be separated from keeping the mind of enlightenment in mind. Your practice of a Bodhisattva will be well practiced. So it is said. Therefore, the object of meditation is mainly loving-kindness and compassion. Therefore, the practice of exchanging self and others is extremely important. The object is: In the sky in front of you, on a precious throne and a lotus moon, the teacher, the Dharma body Amitabha, inseparable from the root guru, with a red body, a crown on his head, and a wheel on his feet, adorned with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor signs, wearing the three Dharma robes, sitting in the vajra posture, with his hands in the meditation mudra, holding a bowl filled with nectar. To his right is the white Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, and to his left is...

Blue Uma Zhi, both having the appearance of Bodhisattvas. Before them, with utmost devotion and respect, repeatedly recite "Buddha, Dharma, Sangha." The esteemed Lotus Garland (Pema Tsek Le Trengwa) states that this generates the Bodhisattva vows. However, this is difficult to understand, therefore, I take refuge in the Guru and the Three Jewels! I generate the mind of Bodhichitta for the benefit of sentient beings! Recite this about a hundred times. Finally, the refuge field in the sky dissolves into light and merges into oneself. Visualize oneself as the white Great Compassionate One, with one face and four arms, according to the standard form. Then, upon exhaling, all of one's own happiness and virtuous roots completely dissolve into all sentient beings. Contemplate that all sentient beings are endowed with perfect happiness, and possess the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, the cause of happiness. And recite: May all sentient beings be endowed with happiness and the cause of happiness! This is the practice of compassion. When inhaling, all the suffering and negativities of all sentient beings completely dissolve into oneself, like adding wood to a fire. One's own Great Compassionate One becomes even more radiant than before. May all sentient beings be free from all the causes of suffering, negativities, of the six realms, and recite "Bhe (藏文:བྷེ།,梵文天城体:भै,梵文罗马拟音:bhai,汉语字面意思:贝)". May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering! This is the compassion practice of "Bhe". Furthermore, if tears arise due to love and compassion, it is great love and great compassion. Also, if there is no enemy, friend, or partiality, and all sentient beings are treated equally, it is immeasurable love and immeasurable compassion. For each session of the two objects of giving and receiving, meditate a hundred times, or according to one's age, or about twenty-one times. Afterwards, by looking at the mind of the meditator, giving away merit and virtuous roots, and taking on sins and sufferings, all of that is the mind. The mind is unborn from the beginning, like the sky. The essence of emptiness is inherently luminous. As it is said in the Great Generation of the Mind Sutra: "Well protected! All dharmas are without characteristics like the sky, and are inherently luminous and pure. This is called generating the mind of Bodhichitta." Therefore, those of you who have practice, in a state where the true nature of the mind is not distracted, meditate on the object of giving and receiving.
