In general, regarding the aspects of experience, it is important not to confuse and mix them. In the vast state of union of the six consciousnesses, primarily meditate on union. Recognizing the nature of appearances, Dagpo Rinpoche said, "The yoga of one taste is the realization that appearance and emptiness are inseparable." Also, the Great Brahmin said, "Third, dissolve into non-thought and non-birth. All are non-different, becoming one in great bliss. Just like a drop of water is inseparable from water." Also, in the Five Stages, it says, "The union of learning." Lāvapā said, "To unite." Maitrīpa said, "The time of gaining certainty." In the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, it says, "The yoga of non-grasping, and the samādhi that focuses on suchness, and the meaning of the three powers, these meanings are the same." Phagmo Drupa said, "The small one taste, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are fused into one." The Great Instruction says, "One taste is, in the stage of freedom from elaboration, all phenomena are comfortable in emptiness where self-nature is not established. Any arising thoughts or appearances that are slightly uncomfortable, from there arises the fusion of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa. Its meaning is, in the uninterrupted appearance, there is neither the substantial clinging that clings to appearance, nor the emptiness clinging that clings to emptiness. The external appearance, contemplate on its lack of self-nature with one's own mind, or any phenomena that appear as two are not established. It is not just measured by the mind, but appearance and non-appearance, emptiness and non-emptiness, appearance, object, emptiness, generation stage, completion stage, conventional truth, ultimate truth, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, etc. In short, all phenomena included in happiness and suffering, etc., are realized as non-different, non-dual union, one taste, and arise as co-emergent wisdom. Any arising thoughts, free from thoughts, free from negation and affirmation, self-knowing, self-illuminating, effortless, correct mindfulness, the mind, mindfulness, and appearance, like fire and heat, the dependent arising of cause and effect manifests. Happiness in appearance is called the yoga of one taste." Also, Gyalwa Yang Gonpa said, "When guarding the realization of freedom from elaboration in this way, all phenomena of appearance, existence, saṃsāra, and nirvāṇa, there is no freedom from elaboration and non-freedom from elaboration, there is no emptiness and non-emptiness, there is no abandonment and establishment, there is no negation and affirmation, self-liberated in its own place, recognizing its own nature, although it appears as many appearances."

I realize the essence with a single realization, the yoga of many becoming one taste. Among them, there is a small one taste. Samsara and Nirvana merge into one, namely appearance and emptiness, ultimate truth and conventional truth, generation stage and completion stage, etc., all dualistic dharmas are inseparable in the essence of a single realization, thereby manifesting union. Appearance and emptiness have never been separated, and emptiness and appearance have never been separated. Therefore, on either appearance or emptiness, all the dharmas of the path are complete, and they unite in a non-dual way, so it is the great union. Thus, even if one realizes the many becoming one taste, if there is still a component of clinging to certainty, or if the mixed experience contains a slight stain of certainty, then it is a small one taste. The Great Guidance says: Small one taste is when appearance and emptiness merge inseparably, and everything is realized as the original nature. Neither empty nor non-empty, any arising awareness is sufficient. Realizing as dharma, even on either appearance or emptiness, one realizes that all the dharmas of the path are complete, but the three of body, appearance, and mind cannot be distinguished. Sometimes, even if it is determined to be the mind, there are still thoughts of experiencing and clinging. Afterwards, it will appear as solid ground, or due to the disturbance of strong external conditions, the appearance of the six consciousnesses will make virtuous practice uncomfortable, and there will be fragments of the appearance of grasper and grasped, and it may seem impossible to completely hide when practicing dharma. Afterwards, it is called appearance like illusion, and even in dreams, there will be fragments of confusion and clinging. Sometimes, there will also be the experience of the three of body, appearance, and mind being inseparable. Due to the emphasis on cause and effect, respect, and small compassion, one may deviate from the path, so do not do that. Also, a monastery abbot said: Medium one taste is when the root of grasper and grasped is completely cut off, because the realization has not yet stabilized. The one who realizes merges into the many becoming one taste, and because the clinging to objects is fundamentally purified, matter does not remain outside, and awareness does not remain inside, appearance and mind become one, that is the medium one taste, remembering it, that which has characteristics manifests. The Great Guidance says: Medium one taste is when the previous experience is mixed with a component of clinging to certainty, therefore, matter does not remain outside, and awareness does not remain inside, appearance and mind are united.
