If you leave it in its own place, it becomes clear. That obscuration of your own conceptualization is the uncorrected, naturally abiding Dharmakaya itself. Do not fabricate, relax it. Do not retract your awareness, let it be as it is. Do not have preferences, let it be natural. Do not set a goal, let it be natural. Do not do too many things, just relax. Without seeking the abiding place of the mind, let it be like rootless space. For the past, future, and present, do not think, let awareness be fresh. Whether thoughts arise or not, do not deliberately meditate, let it be natural. In short, without meditating on anything, let awareness spontaneously relax. There is no need to be afraid of anything. Liberate from the nature of Dharmakaya! Thus it is said. Among the four dharmas for subduing the border regions spoken by Serlingpa: Recite loudly, relaxedly relax. Lice bite lice, leave it loosely. The venerable Sakya Drakpa Gyaltsen said: Mindless mind contemplates the mind. If something visible arises, that is not mind-essence. With unseen seeing, see mind-essence. Do not let the unseen mind wander. Sakya Pandita's Eight Verses say: If stretched out, it does not extend; if closely examined, it does not adhere; if carefully inspected, it does not establish. What is the nature of this thing like? If you interfere with it even slightly, you will be bound no matter what. If you understand its nature, you will be liberated from all bonds. Machik Labdrön's Collected Teachings also say: Therefore, abide in a state of non-thought. Do not cut off the arising feelings and thoughts. Like the self-arisen light of lightning flashing in the sky, if thoughts arise, abide in them just as they are. Likewise, if you recognize your own mind-essence, you do not need to attain Buddhahood from elsewhere. Gyalsé Thogmépa, who appeared later, also said: How all appearances are, is one's own mind. Mind-essence is primordially free from the extremes of elaboration. Having known that, not attending to the aspects of grasper and grasped, is the practice of a Bodhisattva. Like the end of a severed rope, relax the actions of the body. Like a lute with three broken strings, relax the actions of speech. Like a mill rope with broken water flow, relax the actions of the mind. Je Marpa Lotsawa said: The movement of mind, the two of grasper and grasped, dissolves into the sphere of the non-elaborated Dharmadhatu. Outer appearances are the illusion of movement.

This wheel (mandala). Realize as the unborn great expanse. The nature of the inner grasping mind, is like meeting a familiar person from the past. Thus it is said. The outer grasped object of the mind's appearance, is vast and continuous. Realize it as the unborn Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. Lord Milarepa said: Sentient beings of the three realms of samsara and, the Buddhas of peaceful nirvana, in the nature of reality are one. Thus it is said. The appearance of the six aggregates arising and, the unborn nature of one's own mind, the two are inseparably born as one. Thus it is said. Lord Rechungpa said: Ema, wondrous and amazing Dharma, form is inseparable from appearance and emptiness, sound is inseparable from sound and emptiness, and cannot be expressed, thoughts unite bliss and emptiness. Thus it is said. From the nature of the appearing Dharmakaya, realize that there is no seer or seen. Thus it is said. Lord Gampopa said: This empty and clear nature of appearance and awareness, now I know it is the Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. Knowing appearance and sound as the mind, joy and delight are continuous, I have found the key to great bliss. Thus it is said. Dusum Khyenpa said: The Buddha is found within one's own mind, free from the desire to attain accomplishment, knowing the realization of one liberation freeing all, free from the thought of hearing, thinking, and meditating, realizing the meaning of samsara and nirvana being non-dual, free from the thought of distinguishing between past and future. Thus it is said. Dromgon Rechenpa said: When naked awareness soars, do not put on the clothes of conceptual signs, in the self-luminous essence of the natural state, there is no point in making calculations of what to accept or reject. Thus it is said. Pom Drakpa said: Because the clarity of self-born awareness is stable, thoughts disappear completely in an instant, like a lamp lit in the darkness, without confusion or obscuration, it is very wonderful. Thus it is said. Karma Pakshi said: This Mahamudra of one's own mind, without practicing the three kayas, it is spontaneously accomplished, because it is found on the ground, there is no need to search for it. Thus it is said. This uncorrected, natural, self-luminous awareness, rest on whatever arises, knowing one's own face. Thus it is said. Without thinking, without engaging the mind, is the practice during the time of meditative equipoise, and that too is with clear awareness, it is the instruction for cutting off the place of error, whatever appears, train in it as illusion, train in the power of unobstructed awareness, is the practice during the time of post-meditation. Thus it is said. Orgyenpa said: Knowing the face of ordinary awareness, meditate on the nature of samsara.
