Firstly, all phenomena are one's own mind; they do not come from elsewhere. Since the mind has no inherent nature, it transcends speech, thought, and expression. Without good or bad, acceptance or rejection, or bias, rest naturally in an unfabricated state. In that state, body and mind are at ease, and a knowing that is without arising or ceasing occurs. This is the heat. At that time, one attains the intention of the Buddha. Having said this, Lang Pal's Lion was also liberated. Advice to Vairocana: Son of noble family, listen! All phenomena arise from the mind. The mind is without any graspable entity, without beginning or end, without gathering or dispersing. Rest evenly in the uncorrected great equanimity. By meditating in this way, conceptual thoughts will arise as wisdom, and that itself is enlightenment. Having said this, Vairocana was liberated. Advice to Nub Namkhai Nyingpo: Namkhai Nyingpo, listen! The mind is free from elaboration, without self or ego. Rest in a state of self-arising, self-pacifying, and without artificiality. By abiding in that state, heat will naturally arise, and that itself is enlightenment. Having said this, Namkhai Nyingpo was liberated. Advice to Kumaraja: Jnana, listen! The mind initially does not arise from causes, and ultimately it will not perish due to conditions. It is free from effort, inexpressible, and abides in the unborn state. At that time, without seeking the fruit, it will be found within oneself. Apart from this, there is no other Buddha. Having said this, Kumaraja was liberated. Advice to Nganlam Gyalwa Chokyang: Gyalwa Chokyang, you listen! Rigpa, the mind of bodhichitta, is neither meditated upon nor thought about. Without expansion or contraction, let the senses be free and rest the conceptual thoughts in self-pacification. In that state, thoughts are self-pacified, the mind arises from its own nature, and one will attain Buddhahood. Having said this, Gyalwa Chokyang was liberated in that very moment. Advice to Nanam Dorje Dudjom: Dorje Dudjom, listen! Rigpa, the mind of bodhichitta, is primordially self-arisen, primordially self-abiding, without beginning or end. Rest in the uncorrected, self-arising, self-illuminating, and unestablished ground. By resting in this way, one becomes free from the movement of the mind, and that very state is enlightenment. Having said this, Dorje Dudjom was liberated and attained accomplishment. Palye

Instructions to Yeshe Yang. Yeshe Yang, listen! Because the mind is without grasping, there is no movement, no activity, no seeking. There is no hope, no fear, no joy, no sadness. Rest in a state that is uncorrected. Not straying from its meaning is to become a Buddha. Thus he spoke, and he was liberated. Instructions to Sogpo Lhapa's Yeshe. Lhapa's Yeshe, listen! The mind of enlightenment is without doing, so it is self-arisen without seeking. Without effort, rest in a state of self-clarity and uncorrectedness. From that state, movement will cease. At that time, know that you have become a Buddha. Thus he spoke, and Lhapa's Yeshe was liberated. Instructions to Zhang Yeshe De. Yeshe De, listen! This mind has no affirmation or negation, no action or grasping, no artificiality or effort. Rest without taking or rejecting. If you remain undistracted in that state, that itself is Buddhahood. Thus he spoke, and Yeshe De was liberated. Instructions to Kharchen Palgyi Wangchuk. Palgyi Wangchuk, listen! The mind is originally without substance, not to be meditated upon, not established in the mind, and uncorrected. Rest in a self-arisen, self-clear state. Remaining in that state, without abandoning samsara, is to become a Buddha. Thus he spoke, and Palgyi Wangchuk was liberated. Instructions to Drom Gyalwai Lodro. This mind is unthinkable and unobservable. It transcends existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation. Rest without an object of meditation or a meditator. If you do not move or change from that state, it is called Dharmakaya. Thus he spoke, and he was liberated. Instructions to O Palgyi Chungwa. In the mind, there is no knower or known, no grasping or wishing. Rest in a state where clarity is without inherent existence. If knowledge in that state is non-conceptual and non-moving, it is called Buddha. Thus he spoke, and he was liberated. Instructions to Drenpa Namkha. This mind appears but has no inherent existence. It is clear but has no conceptuality. It is unthinkable and unspeakable. May experience and realization be free from the movement of the mind. To abide in that meaning is to be a Buddha in mind, even though the body remains human. Thus he spoke, and Drenpa Namkha attained accomplishment. Instructions to Obran Palgyi Wangchuk. The mind of enlightenment is empty in appearance, clear light in emptiness, without fabrication, not to be meditated upon, is the great self-arisen wisdom.
