By scattering a handful of jewels to the Sangha and making prayers, jewels, food, clothing, and possessions were spontaneously accomplished for ninety-one kalpas. Then, in Shravasti, as soon as he was born as the son of a wealthy householder, seven kinds of precious jewels rained down from the sky, filling the entire house, so the boy was named Divine Jewel. Later, he renounced and attained Arhatship in the presence of the Sage (Shakyamuni Buddha). Also, in the past, when the Buddha Blessed Protector was residing, a Bhikshu went to all places to encourage virtue. There, a woman named Adanika was extremely poor and destitute. The couple had only one piece of cloth, and whoever went out would take turns wearing it, while the other would remain naked. There, the Bhikshu explained the benefits of giving to the woman, and she also complied with her husband and offered the cloth, and both of them hid naked in the house. The Bhikshu offered the cloth to the Buddha, and the Buddha, holding the stained cloth in his hand, said, "This alone is a pure offering." The king and queen then sent their body clothes and ornaments to the two of them. The two of them came and listened to the Dharma from the Buddha. Then, for ninety-one kalpas, wherever they were born, they were born with cloth clothes and possessed great wealth. Later, in Shravasti, a wealthy woman gave birth to a daughter who was born wearing soft white cloth, so she was named White Cloth Girl. As the daughter grew, the cloth also grew, and no other clothes were needed. Then, in the presence of the Sage, she requested to become a Bhikshuni, and all the clothes of the Bhikshunis were spontaneously produced from that cloth. Then she attained Arhatship. In the past, in the land of Apadeva, there was a wealthy householder who was very stingy and had no compassion. He had an old servant woman who worked her whole life, but her clothes did not cover her body, and she had not tasted food. Now I have no food or clothes, and I am very old, but I still need to work, and there is no chance of dying, she thought, crying and shouting at the water-fetching place. There, the noble Katyayana came and said, "Will you sell this poverty and suffering?" She asked, "How can I sell it?" The noble one said, "Wash yourself and offer me a full bowl of water." Then he made a dedication verse for her, gave her a single word of advice, and made her recite the name of the Buddha.

Ramo passed away and was born as a daughter of the gods in the Trayastrimsha (त्रयस्त्रिंश, trayastriṃśa, thirty-three) heaven. Then, that goddess, along with five hundred attendants, made offerings to the bones of the old woman. The people of that place saw it and asked what the reason was. She told the story, and those goddesses requested Dharma from Katyayana (Kātyāyana), and each attained fruition. Also, in the past, after the Buddha Vipashyin (Vipaśyin) passed into Nirvana, many monks were revered by householders. A poor couple had nothing to offer, so the man cried. His wife said, 'Offer whatever little we have in the house and the storehouse.' After searching, they found a gold coin, put it in a vase, filled it with clean water, covered it with a mirror, and offered it. By the merit of that, they were both born as gods in the Trayastrimsha (त्रयस्त्रिंश, trayastriṃśa, thirty-three) heaven. For ninety-one kalpas, wherever they were born, their appearance was beautiful and pleasing, turning golden in color. They enjoyed perfect abundance. Then, in Shravasti (Śrāvastī), a wealthy householder had a son with golden skin, and in Champa (Campā), a daughter similar to him was born. As soon as they were born, a well appeared in their homes, from which water, jewels, food, clothes, and whatever they desired came forth. Then, their parents arranged a marriage, and when they were welcomed, they invited the Blessed One and listened to the Dharma. Both of them renounced and attained Arhatship. The monk was named Golden God. The merit of a poor person giving a little is like that. Also, during the time of the Buddha Vipashyin (Vipaśyin), a householder offered a gold coin and received three precepts, abstaining from killing, etc. For ninety-two kalpas, he enjoyed great wealth and longevity. Later, in Shravasti (Śrāvastī), a wealthy householder without a son adopted a boy who fell from his lap into the water and was swallowed by a large fish. The fish was caught by a fisherman from the lower city, and the boy, who had not died, was taken from the fish's belly and adopted as a son by a wealthy householder without a son. The biological parents heard about it and claimed that he was their son, wanting to take him back. The adoptive parents said, 'I worshiped the gods, and the gods gave him to me. He came from the fish's belly.' They argued and appealed to the king, who said, 'He is the common son of both of you.' Because both were wealthy, the boy enjoyed a perfect and abundant life, and when he grew up, he supported both sets of parents.
