Then, recite "Namo Dharmaya" three times. Now, visualize yourselves as the Buddha Shakyamuni. Recite "Namo Buddhaya" three times. Now, visualize yourselves as the peaceful Great Compassionate One. Recite the six-syllable mantra three times. Visualize yourselves as the wrathful Hayagriva, and recite three times "Om Vajrakrodha Hayagriva Hum Phat (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཧྱ་གྲཱི་ཝ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्रक्रोध हयग्रीव हुं फट्,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajrakrodha hayagrīva huṃ phaṭ,Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra Wrathful, Horse-Neck, Hum, Phat)". This body is also composed of the five elements. Contemplate that the external five elements are also the manifestation of the inner awareness, the nature of mind, and then repeat three times. E Yam Ram Bam Lam. From the "Thal 'gyur": With the vajra full lotus posture, thus training the body benefits the mind. Speech abides in the syllable "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)", strengthen it and train its power. By placing the soft on the path, thus training speech benefits the mind. So it is said. Now, sit in the full lotus posture, straighten your body, and join your palms at the crown of your head. This body is like a golden five-pronged vajra, marked with a blue syllable "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" at the navel. From there, a blue "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" string emanates from the mouth, filling the entire world with blue "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" syllables. Gather it back, and visualize a blue "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" syllable about one cubit long in the sky. Visualize that the entire inside of the body is also filled with many blue "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" syllables. Then, chant the long "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)" three times with melody, and make a buzzing sound for the short "Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: huṃ,Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)". Hum Hum Hum. Hum Hum Hum. Thus, separating the boundaries of the three realms of samsara, this is the instruction for not wandering in samsara. The tantra says: After separating the boundaries of the six realms, one will not return to the place of samsara, and the ability to benefit sentient beings will appear like a jewel. Also, from "The Blazing Lamp": After separating samsara and nirvana, settle the three doors of body, speech, and mind into their natural state. So it is said. Therefore, the body should be placed in a comfortable posture, speech should not say anything, and the mind should remain undistracted in a state free from thought and expression. In "After Death": Then, the three, body, speech, and mind, skillfully settle into their natural state. So it is said. The benefit of settling into the natural state is: In "Vast Expanse of Clarity": Thus, whoever settles into the natural state, disturbances of wind, illnesses, and obstacles will be pacified, and clinging will be self-liberated. The three doors of body, speech, and mind should be left in a state of self-liberation. Then, one should return to the original state, as it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": After settling into the natural state, return to the original state, and that is realization. So it is said. Then comes the actual practice of the six lamps.

To explain it in an easy-to-understand way, the essence of the lamp is: the essence of one's own awareness. The nature of the lamp is emptiness. The characteristic of the lamp is: indivisible clarity and emptiness. These have been discussed in the previous introduction, so there is no need to discuss them here. The definition is: generally, that which abides in the ground, the Tathagatagarbha, is called the lamp of the ground. These are the basis of the Great Perfection, Trekchö. It has the same meaning as Mahamudra. It belongs to the Mind Series of the Great Perfection. Having realized that ground, and traversing the path of Tögal, is called the Space Series and the Secret Instruction Series of the Great Perfection. It is said to be a higher vehicle than Mahamudra. That which is called the "Citta Flesh Lamp" is: the meaning of reality generally abides in the body, and especially abides in the heart. As it says in the Tantra of Practicing Introduction: "The meaning is in the center of one's own body, great wisdom abides in the heart." And as it says in the Tantra of the Gathering of Bindus: "In the center of the Citta that reminds sentient beings, the three dharmas abide in the nature of the mind." Awareness abiding in the center of the heart is called the "Citta Flesh Lamp." That which is called the "White Smooth Vein Lamp" is: the vein that connects the heart and the two eyes. It is also called the vein that distinguishes between good and bad, and the six senses. In it, there is no blood or serum, but only a single empty clarity. Awareness is unchanging. Therefore, it is called the "White Smooth Vein Lamp." As it says in the Tantra of the Gathering of Bindus: "The king of veins has a crystal tube, it abides piercing through the sun and moon." And as it says in the Tantra of the Blazing Lamp: "From the white conch-like brain, there are three spirals to the right. The essence of all the elements gathers, and that which arises from the field of the senses, this is most precious in the vein." Therefore, the path of the movement of consciousness is called the "White Smooth Vein Lamp." That which is called the "Suspended Thread Water Lamp" is: from the mandala of tears, seeing is clear without obstruction. As it says in the Tantra of the Sound Thödgal: "From the very door of the arising of wisdom, the essence of the body gathers completely, and emerges to the door called 'Tsaklu'." And as it says in the Tantra of the Buddha Nature: "Showing the wisdom body, the wisdom is thorough, that which it relies on is the eye itself."
