From the fingertip, a stream of nectar flows, entering the crown of oneself and the one being protected. All the sins and obscurations of the outer body and the inner mind are completely expelled from the lower orifices, toes, nails, and pores, dissolving into the powerful golden earth. All the channels and points of the body are filled with the immaculate nectar of wisdom, and the body becomes like a clear crystal sphere. At the same time, contemplate that the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings are purified. Then, the visualization of repaying karmic debts is for the sick person; it is not necessary for others. That is, the fluid from washing the body, its essence being nectar, manifests as various pleasing foods and drinks, flowing to the place below where one's body demon is, thereby repaying karmic debts. Pacify harmful thoughts and cultivate altruistic thoughts. Here, giving by visualizing black offerings, poison, disease, and angry water, etc., is a perverse path of Chöd and is not permissible, as stated by Jetsun Kunga Namgyal. The above is the visualization of the preliminary practice. Now, entering the main practice. The superior Chöd is without thought or action, abiding in the nature of emptiness, the great seal, where all phenomena such as body, mind, and guests are naturally pure. Do not fixate on the object of transference, the agent of transference, the body, and the guests. The intermediate Chöd is opening the door of space. Visualize your own body and the body of the one being protected as unobstructed inside and out, like a blown-up balloon. In the center, visualize the central channel, white on the outside and red on the inside, possessing four characteristics, as thick as a medium-sized arrow shaft. The upper end is inserted into the crown aperture, like a star window, and the lower end is inserted into the heart below the navel, into the center of an eight-petaled white lotus with a blue center, the petals slightly pressing down. In the center of the lotus at the heart, visualize the essence of wind and mind, a luminous bindu, like a mustard seed egg, possessing various colors, radiating light, about the size of a small person's head. The bindu pulsates and trembles. By uttering "ཕཊ་" (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: pa), visualize it shooting out far from the crown with the force of a strong wind. At this time, mix with the ones being protected, merging your own and others' bodies into one. Raise the wind-mind bindu of the one being protected into the sky and mix it with your own bindu. Inseparably dissolve the two into the heart of the Great Mother or the One Mother, dissolving into the heart.

Mix your own sky and self-mind into one, and rest in the vast expanse. Here, there are many methods of transference, such as letter-by-letter transference and gradual transference, but this time is the self-arising method. Alternatively, dissolve the consciousness to be protected into your own heart, and visualize the essence of inseparable union as a drop of light, dissolving it into the heart of Machig (Tibetan place name). Or, transfer it all at once and merge it into the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, which is the view of Drungpa, consistent with the Indian treatises of Āryadeva (Sanskrit Devanagari: आर्यदेव, Sanskrit Romanization: Āryadeva, Chinese literal meaning: Holy God). This is the visualization of separating matter and awareness and merging the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Now, offering the mandala is divided into outer, inner, and secret. The outer mandala is offered with seven verses such as "Outer appearance is adorned." Previously, separating body and mind, filling the three thousand worlds, from the heart of the Great Mother, one's own awareness manifests as a red ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Hrih) syllable, which is Vajravarahi. By reciting ཕཊ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat), the skin cracks with a snapping sound, and on the golden ground, drops of grease and pus are sprinkled with perfume, and the eyes are painted with many patterns using molten lapis lazuli. The fingers are the iron fence, the limbs are the four continents, and the little fingers are the eight subcontinents. The abdomen is Mount Sumeru, and the head is the Palace of Complete Victory. The two eyes are the sun and the moon. The intestines are the seven black and white golden mountains. The blood is the seven playful oceans. The teeth are the stars. The two ears are the umbrella and the victory banner. The tongue is the whisk and the pennant, the brain and liver are the various clothes, curtains, and tents of the gods. The throat is the rosary and the eight self-arising crystal stupas. The heart is the wish-fulfilling jewel. The lungs are the intelligent horse. The eyes, body hair, and life force are the wish-fulfilling tree. The spleen is the wish-fulfilling cow. The stomach is the treasure vase. Thus, contemplate the complete enjoyment formed from one's own body, without any lack, and offer it, reciting "The skin is the center of the golden earth," etc., which is the inner mandala. Place oneself, the mandala, and the object of offering all in the state of non-conceptual emptiness. The secret is the Dharmadhatu mandala, reciting "It is the Dharmadhatu mandala," etc., and blessing it with ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat). This is the secret mandala. During the offering and giving, ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat) should be recited in a relaxed, thick voice, as smooth and pleasant as a yak's tail. This means that all these visualizations, just like during the transference of consciousness, separate matter and awareness and dissolve them into the Great Mother or Machig (Tibetan place name). The illusory body is like ghee that has fallen, white and oily, soft and fluffy, sweet and delicious.
