Place the corpse inside the skull. PHAṬ. Chop with a hooked knife, stir the wind, ignite the fire. May the flesh and blood melt into nectar. Countless emanation yoginis fill the skull with nectar. To the mouths of the lamas and yidams, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. PHAṬ. To the mouths of the ḍākinīs and dharma protectors, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. PHAṬ. To the mouths of the six classes of beings, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. To the mouths of karmic creditors, demons, and obstructors, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. PHAṬ. Thus, maintain much focus. If you fear the corpse, you will also fear your own corpse. Use the corpse as a pillow, thinking, "I will not go anywhere until I attain enlightenment," and lie down. If the body becomes ill or afflicted by shadows, etc., pacify the flesh-eating ghosts in the afflicted area and perform many red offerings to the disease demons. Recognize the corpse as earth and stone, and maintain the practice in that state. This will also cut off bad illnesses and prevent shadows from coming. If there is no fear or disgust towards the corpse, and you recognize its unreality, and compassion arises spontaneously, then you have cut through. Also, if you intend to keep the corpse in the charnel ground for a few days, during the Chöd gathering, visualize the corpse and the gathering as inseparable. Do not remove it within four and a half days. If you cannot transfer the consciousness, it may still exist, which would be a great fault. ༈ Next is shaking the corpse: PHAṬ. Instantly, transform yourself into the wisdom ḍākinī, Wrathful Black Mother, red-black in color, like fire. Her face is as vast as the sky and earth. Her fangs are like towering snow mountains. Her tongue flashes like red lightning. She is adorned with the eight charnel ground ornaments. From the crown of her head, a red tiger face roars like a tiger and a dragon. Causing all flesh-eating ghosts, death spirits, appearances, spirits, and demons to be terrified and faint. Her feet stand in a dancing posture, and from her heart emanate countless action ḍākinīs identical to herself.
