I think that what we have given will not be wasted. The Buddha's teachings are the proof. However, regarding the property and livestock of the monastery, wherever I go, I will make offerings to the lama and all the monasteries. Reciting the six-syllable mantra, copying scriptures, offering tea to the monks, making tsog offerings, holding great Dharma assemblies, etc., I do my best in the direction of good deeds. The livestock offered with faith are not mortgaged to butchers. I do not charge interest or make excessive profits like other monasteries. However, after offering to the lama and the monastery, you all know what they do. Even if they slaughter, I will not be held responsible. In order to make generous offerings to the lama and the monastery, bringing the livestock from the pasture to the town is said to be a great sin. I do not eat meat except for the tsog meat, I have completely abandoned the meat used for sacrifices, I never slaughter livestock, I do not sell mortgaged livestock, and I do not charge interest. This is my spiritual biography. Apart from that, taking the lives of animals without enduring any suffering, if all the Buddhas cannot do it, how can I do it? In the past, Lord Atisha offered many livestock, saying: These are all kind parents, and parents cannot be sold. After screening, a large group was formed. At that time, ordinary people said: This Pandit is greedy for money and does not sell even one. People generally slandered him. Later, there were too many cattle and sheep to take care of, so he said: Let's put them in the north where the grass and water are abundant, and then he let them go. As a result, wild animals, wolves, robbers, etc., whoever wanted them took them, and this became a sin. Tserlung Kunga Namgyal did not accept the offering of four-legged animals, therefore, Yangri Drungpa said: What benefits does Tserlung Drungpa know? He does not accept horses, cattle, or sheep, but only accepts gold, silver, tea, and silk. People ridiculed and slandered him. Drukchen Karma Tenphel, in the first half of his life when he mainly practiced, forbade accepting the offering of four-legged animals. In the second half of his life, when the time for taming came, he screened out livestock of white, blue, black, and mixed colors with the same coat color. People ridiculed and slandered this. Haha, when he used to preach the Dharma, that servant of four-legged animals now values the leisure of two legs.

The great (lama) said "No," and forbade (this matter). Now, different kinds of (people), gathering in large numbers, are called "Ala." Similarly, some of the great sons of the Drukpa, initially abandoning four-legged (animals), later gathered whatever came along, and were called "Big Liars," ridiculed by everyone. The realized Padmasambhava, not accepting offerings of needles and thread, abandoning empowerment and teachings, behaving like a worm, with no fixed abode, (his teacher) said "The offense is too great," and expelled him to the borderlands. Confession was also of no avail. Lama Trinley and Khenpo, teacher and disciple, repaired the basis of life-force and shadow in the rain, protected from hail and performed protection and repulsion, etc., doing whatever benefited the patrons. Even so, it was considered too great an offense and he was expelled to the borderlands. Drukpa Trinley Gewa, vowed to retreat for three years, meditating alone in a secluded mountain cave. After two years, he was expelled without attachment. Thus, in this degenerate age of dregs, no matter what one does, one cannot avoid slander, and it is difficult to abide in false happiness. If those wise and accomplished ones of the past could not please everyone, how could someone like me possibly accomplish actions that please everyone? If it does not contradict the words of Shakyamuni, and the heart of Padmasambhava is not ashamed, then even if everyone shames me, I can endure it. The sounds of praise and blame are all like echoes in a valley, this meaningless flaw, do you understand, monk without attachment? Slandering all the victors, even willing to take their lives if possible, praising and honoring all the great sinners, pouring out heart, essence, and forehead, The merit of beings in this degenerate age, do you see it, monk without attachment? Since there is no trust in anyone, pour out your heavy heart to the infallible Padmasambhava, monk without attachment. Thoughts of hope and doubt, like thieves in an empty house, without a stove or a hidden cave, so, merge the virtuous practice of meditation into emptiness, monk without attachment. All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, although various things appear, their essence is emptiness. Do not be too attached to impermanent, illusory phenomena, monk without attachment. Do not let the ears follow after sounds, do not let realization follow after external objects, abide in equanimity, monk without attachment. Do not let attachment arise for praise, do not let anger arise for blame, cultivate compassion, monk without attachment. Do not let suspicion arise for enemies, do not have too much hope for relatives, cultivate loving-kindness, monk without attachment.
