striving to practice the six perfections as much as possible. Therefore, one is counted as a Bodhisattva. As it is said in the *Bodhicharyavatara*: "The moment a Bodhichitta arises, in an instant, one becomes a child of the Buddhas, a child of the Sugatas, and is to be revered by gods and humans alike." Furthermore, as it is said in the *Entering the Love Sutra*: "Even if one has taken up the path of the ten non-virtuous actions, or even if one has committed the five heinous crimes, if one does not separate from the Bodhichitta, it will not become an obstacle." So it is said. Moreover, the main thing to meditate on is: when exhaling, all of one's own virtues and happiness dissolve into all sentient beings, so that all sentient beings are happy and at ease temporarily, and quickly become capable of attaining Buddhahood. When inhaling, all the sins, obscurations, and sufferings of all sentient beings dissolve into oneself, and one meditates that they are free from sins and sufferings, thereby gaining immeasurable merit. As Lord Phagmo Drupa said: "If the horse of Bodhichitta is not tied with the rope of benefiting others, the happiness of Khrom Lha-ma will not arise, so be diligent in this preliminary practice of generating the mind." This is the meaning. As it is said in the *Bodhicharyavatara*: "For the sake of this impermanent life, one readily commits many sins." As it is said, for the sake of food, clothing, and conversation, one commits many sins. Even if we ordained ones think that we have not committed obvious sins, there are still the 250 rules of the Vinaya, the 20 vows of the Bodhisattva, the 14 root downfalls, and the 8 major transgressions. According to the Nyingma school, there are 3 root vows and 25 branch vows, etc. Even if the root vows are not broken, the subtle branch downfalls fall like rain. It is said that each unconfessed downfall will surely lead to the lower realms, which is frightening. Moreover, the countless sins accumulated from countless eons ago, it seems that unimaginable consequences are about to ripen. Therefore, all these sins must be confessed. To this end, regretting past misdeeds is the power of destruction, confessing to the Three Jewels, etc., is the power of reliance, practicing mantras or Vajrasattva meditation, etc., is the power of applying remedies, and vowing not to commit them in the future is the power of restoration. Confessing sins through the four powers

Even if sins are heavy, it is not impossible to purify them. For example, Angulimala killed one out of a thousand people, King Ajatasatru killed his father, Khyun-thing killed his mother, and Chung-gawo was attached to women. They all have stories of purifying and obtaining results through their respective strengths. The analogy for purification is like clothes stained by impurities, which are washed well and then fumigated with incense. Therefore, one should practice the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva: On the lotus and moon cushion on the crown of one's head, the Lama Vajrasattva, adorned with ornaments, is white. With one face and two arms, the right hand holds a vajra, and the left hand holds a bell, sitting in the vajra posture. Upon praying, nectar descends from his body, enters from my Brahma aperture, and fills the whole body, purifying all sins, karmic obscurations, faults, and transgressions. Meditate like this and recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Reciting it twenty-one times will bless all transgressions, and transgressions will not increase. Otherwise, transgressions will increase day by day. Reciting it one hundred thousand times, it is said that transgressions will be purified from the root. If someone is illiterate and cannot read the Hundred Syllable Mantra, they can also recite the six-syllable mantra Om Vajrasattva Hum The Tantra of Vajrapani Subduing the Three Realms says: Reciting this six-syllable mantra one hundred thousand times will pacify the broken fundamental vows. Vajrasattva blesses me, and the light dissolves into myself, becoming inseparable from me. Thus, dissolve it into oneself. By practicing in this way, sleep decreases, the body is healthy, the heart is joyful, and some signs will appear: dreaming of being naked, vomiting pus and blood and other impure things, dreaming of flying, wearing white clothes, etc. These are all signs of the purification of sins. After that, in order to temporarily obtain all happiness and ultimately attain enlightenment, it is also important to accumulate merit. This depends on offering to the Lama and the Three Jewels. However, in reality, it is difficult to find abundant offerings. If one tries hard to obtain them, it is both difficult and mixed with sins, and it is also stained by the defilements of stinginess, attachment, and arrogance. Therefore, offering the mandala is a vast offering that perfects the accumulation of merit. It is said that it has no faults such as stinginess, no difficulties, and is profound. One can visualize the mandala of the practice, a thangka, etc., or one can visualize the sky. In the sky in front, the Lama is in the center, and in front, to the right, behind, and to the left, they are arranged in order.
