At the time of passing from here, may I go to the western Sukhavati pure land. Like a great archer shooting an arrow from a bow, may I obtain a body of emanation, achieving the Nirmanakaya. Having seen the face of Lord Amitabha, may I receive the prophecy of my supreme enlightenment, and progressing through the ten bhumis and five paths, may I achieve the glorious Vajradhara. This was composed by Bhikshu Ra Ga Asya at the time of the waxing tenth day of the autumn month in the Water Snake year (1953), urged by the words of Anu Lhasung, for the purpose of practice and recitation. ༈ །། Namo Shakyamuniye! From the western Sukhavati pure land, To the Dharmakaya Amitabha, I pray, look upon me with compassion. Bestow the accomplishment of immortal life. From the sacred place of southern Potala, To the Sambhogakaya Great Compassionate One, I pray, lead the way. Please cut off the door to the six realms of rebirth. From the southwestern island of Rakshasas, To the Nirmanakaya Padmasambhava, I pray, dispel obstacles. Avert the harm of gods and demons of existence. From the upper realm of Tushita heaven, To the two emanations, Jowo and Dromtonpa, I pray, hold me with compassion. Bless me to turn my mind to Dharma. On the lotus and moon seat on my crown, To the kind root and lineage lamas, I pray, bless me. You know this life, the next life, and the bardo. Having obtained the difficult-to-obtain leisure and endowment of a human body, Please bless me to attain the essence now. The enemy, the Lord of Death, may come at any time, Please bless me to accomplish a mind without regret. In the court of Yama, the powerful judge, Please bless me to be without shame. Even though I hear of hundreds and thousands of people dying, I have no sense of my own death, alas! Please bless me to remember impermanence now. Relatives, friends, wealth, and possessions are left behind, When I go alone, alas! At that time, please hold me with compassion, Lama. Traveling through the eight difficult straits of the bardo, Rainbows and rays of light, peaceful and wrathful deities appear, At that time, may the holy ones

May it be! Until enlightenment is attained, may I tame my own mindstream, may loving-kindness and compassion be perfected without bias, may the mind know its own face, may the six perfections of the path be practiced, may the mind realize the naked Dharmakaya, may the rainbow thigle deity body be seen, may the four visions of the Great Perfection of Dharma be perfected, may the meaning of the rainbow body Dharmakaya be accomplished. This was written by Raga Asya by the light of the lamp, urged by Namlang. ༈ །། Namo Guru (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुरु, Sanskrit Romanization: guru, Chinese literal meaning: Teacher). On the triple lotus, sun, and moon seat in the crown of my head, is my kind father, the root guru, and Guru (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुरु, Sanskrit Romanization: guru, Chinese literal meaning: Teacher) Padmasambhava, inseparable in meaning. His body is white and red, with a smiling face. His hands hold a vajra, a vase, and a khatvanga. His body is adorned with the three robes of Dharma and a lotus hat. His feet are in the vajra posture, unmoving. The signs and marks blaze like a hundred thousand suns. From that body, rays of light emanate in the ten directions. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions are invited and dissolve into the body of the Guru (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुरु, Sanskrit Romanization: guru, Chinese literal meaning: Teacher). Lord Padmasambhava, the embodiment of all Buddhas, I pray to you, please hold me with your compassion. This precious human body with leisure and opportunity is difficult to obtain except for this time. Please bless me to obtain the essence of this body. Life is impermanent, like a butter lamp in the wind. There is no certainty when death will come. Please bless me to remember death. Karma, both white and black, accompanies us like a shadow. Since the result of karma is most important, please bless me to accomplish the sacred Dharma. In the prison of suffering in the six realms, no one else can save us. Father, please protect us with your compassionate eyes, Padmasambhava. This self-mind is the root of all Dharmas. Although it has been with us since previous lives, we have not recognized it. Please bless me to recognize my own face. The body cannot be found anywhere inside or outside. Although it is non-existent, it pervades all ten directions. Please bless me to realize the nature of the mind. The mind cannot be seen when looked at, it has no form. The mind does not stay when placed, it is swift in running and jumping. Please bless me to relax and settle the mind. The Great Seal, the Great Perfection, and the Middle Way are all labels for the meaning of one's own mind. Please bless me to generate certainty. By praying with one-pointed devotion, Father Padmasambhava dissolves into light. My body, speech, and mind are like water into water.
