There are many kinds [of animals], so they kill and eat each other. They gather in the ocean. There is a great fish as big as a mountain. There is an animal called "fish swallower" that swallows it. There is a being called "swallower of that" that swallows that "fish swallower." There are beavers, turtles, hippos, water sheep, water oxen, water yaks, and water people, etc., which are immeasurable. Eating all of these is a creature called "water monster," which is as big as a great mountain. It opens its mouth for three years, and countless beings gather inside its mouth. When it closes its mouth and eats, the blood turns that part of the ocean red. There is a great snake called "large belly" that coils around the supreme mountain in the center (Mount Sumeru), its body encircling it three times. Because its body is so huge, when it comes out on land, it is eaten by birds; when it sinks into the water, it is eaten by aquatic creatures. It cannot die and suffers great pain. There is a being called "flesh-eating flesh" in the dark continent in the depths of the ocean. Their bodies are very large, and because they are extremely hungry and cannot find food, they eat their own bodies. They are foolish and very dull, so they do not know that the reason they are sick is that they are gnawing on themselves. They gnaw at their bodies because of the pain. Creatures with large bodies like water monsters, and creatures with small bodies like conch shells, have their bodies hollowed out by disease. When they shake from severe illness, they stir up the ocean, causing earthquakes and great landslides. The small ones are swallowed and eaten by the big ones, etc. The suffering of animals is immeasurable. These are the animals that live there. In the vast ocean, their numbers are like water added to beer. These are the animals that live there. Scattered in the human and god realms are birds, wild animals, insects, etc. The happiest animals are domestic animals. These are the animals that surround humans. They plow, carry loads, are slaughtered, etc., which are obvious. Some Bodhisattvas, due to the karmic results of minor transgressions, are sometimes born as animals, but they know how to teach the Dharma to their own kind. Whoever eats their flesh, blood, bones, or wears their skin, will be liberated because of the initial connection. They also have no suffering. Although they have physical suffering, they possess Bodhicitta. These are called good animals. Their bodies contain bezoar, and if extremely sinful people, dogs, and pigs are reborn into their bodies seven times in succession, then relics will appear in their bodies.

。 The sin relic is called, eating its flesh leads to hell. May the sentient beings connected to me, if they are reborn as foolish, deaf-mute animals, may Avalokiteśvara quickly deliver them. Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), mani (藏文:མ་ཎི,梵文天城体:मणि,梵文罗马拟音:maṇi,汉语字面意思:嘛呢), padme (藏文:པདྨེ,梵文天城体:पद्मे,梵文罗马拟音:padme,汉语字面意思:钵讷铭), hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). A song of remembrance of the suffering of animals. Spoken by Raga Asya on the first day of the Horse Year, Bird Month. May it be auspicious! Alas, without committing great sins, guarding vows such as a single seat, giving much in charity, yet being jealous of others' advancement, deceiving with cunning and trickery, instigating much fighting and conflict, constantly quarreling and bearing grudges, the karmic result of such actions is, from the boundary of Mount Meru and water downwards, at the boundary of a hundred thousand yojanas, there exists a great Asura city called Mount Meru Hollow Light. Its king is Rahu. Below that, at a distance of a hundred thousand yojanas, in the Asura city Star Garland, there is a king called Necklace. Below that, at a distance of one hundred and ten thousand yojanas, in the city called Steadfast, there is an Asura king called Supreme Conqueror. Those three kings are ordinary beings, born from merit, charity, power, and strength. Below that, at a distance of one hundred and ten thousand yojanas, in the deep Asura city, there is what is called Bhagavan Good Weaver Mountain. In the perception of the pure ones, there is a green Buddha holding a spear, who, in order to pacify the suffering of fighting, teaches the sacred Dharma of great patience, together with a retinue of Bodhisattvas. In the perception of the impure ones, in those four Asura cities, they see a cruel general king, the chief of killing and fighting. In that land of the Asuras, all happiness and enjoyment are a hundred thousand times greater than that of humans, almost equal to the happiness of the gods. In various jeweled palaces, there are delightful gardens and pleasure groves, wish-fulfilling trees, and so on. The daughters of the Asuras, whether goddesses or human women, are even more beautiful and attractive, fearing that they will be taken away by the gods. For example, the supreme Mount Meru is like a great five-storied mansion, at the top of which is the realm of the Thirty-Three Gods, with the lord of the gods, Indra. The four levels of Mount Meru, on the steps that resemble four-storied buildings, are the gods of the Four Great Kings. Like the lifeline fortress of a castle, the inner leve
