With greed, one takes an evil body. Having taken an evil body, one accumulates evil deeds. Having accumulated evil deeds, there is no liberation. Pitiful are the wandering ghosts and demons. When Orgyen Padmasambhava emanates manifestations on the tenth day of the month, I pray that you all take vows and be placed on the path of liberation. Guru Padma Siddhi Hum! A song of remembrance of the suffering of pretas. Written by the monk Ra Ga A Syas on the twenty-second day of the monkey month of the horse year. Mangalam! Kyema Kyehud, A Tsama! Due to ignorance and unknowing, there is no faith in the Three Jewels, no desire for the sacred Dharma, uttering evil words like animals. Being angry and beating animals, giving them unhelpful and harmful food and drink, slandering the holy ones, speaking many lies, and despising subtle vows. The result of such actions is that in the midst of the darkness that pervades the continents, a body of an animal created by the mind appears. In the center of that is a palace made of jewels, and within it dwells the deity who tames animals, the Bhagavan Lion Steadfast. In the perception of the pure ones, it is a Buddha with blue Dharma robes, holding the Prajnaparamita scripture in his hand, surrounded by countless Shravaka monks. Enjoyment, happiness, and well-being are perfectly complete. Although the Dharma of the Prajnaparamita is spoken in the language of each animal, in the perception of the impure ones, it is a terrifying lion, roaring and frightening the animals, subduing them with power. Around the perimeter of that palace, countless iron boxes are piled up. Inside each of those boxes, many men and women have the heads of various animals, their ears pierced with iron nails, unable to see the light of the sun and moon, constantly dwelling in the nine dark continents. In the great ocean beneath the earth, in a palace made of jewels, in a place of unimaginable enjoyment, the Naga king Black Dragon and others, kings, ministers, consorts, and the various kinds of Nagas are inconceivable. Gathered together are kings, Brahmins, Vaishyas, Shudras, and others. The great Naga kings live for eons, seeing the faces of many Buddhas, protecting the teachings, rejoicing in the Dharma, attaining the bhumis and paths of Bodhisattvas, enjoying unimaginable happiness and well-being. A treasure made from the heart of a Garuda.

Because it is on the crown of the head, there is no fear of the Garuda. Because in the precious rock cave, there is a dwelling place, so even if hail falls, there is no harm. It causes rain to fall on time and thunder to sound, making the world prosperous and the Buddha's teachings flourish. However, the black, malicious Nagas, must fight with it in its abode. Sometimes they get sick and are on the verge of death, at that time there is no rain in Jambudvipa. The Naga king with Bodhicitta, releases his miserliness and gives charity. At that time, gold mines, silver mines, copper mines, and iron mines will burst open. Other than that, all Nagas are, very ignorant, arrogant, and jealous. The poisonous Naga race that sees, by looking at them, all diseases arise in the body. The poisonous one that touches with its hand, whoever it touches will die of disease. The poison of the fangs and the poison of the breath, harm with the poison of the mind. The poisonous one on the crown of the head binds a jewel, from which clouds arise and even great rain, causes crops, grass, etc. to not grow and rot. Sometimes the Garuda bird comes there, cutting and eating the large Nagas, and swallowing and eating the small ones. It is like an eagle chasing birds. Sometimes hail falls, destroying all the flesh and bones of the Nagas. There is no rain even when it is called for. In order to subdue the black Nagas, Hayagriva and Vajrapani are very powerful, wrathful ones arise and there is great suffering. The white Nagas who love Dharma, the black Nagas who love sin, humans and non-humans fight, and there are epidemics, those who kill, exile, plunder, and rob, are like humans encountering epidemics. Sometimes leprosy and scabies, etc., epidemics and great diseases, are like humans encountering bad diseases. When the king's decree is inflicted, all the crests of the snake heads are shaved off, exile from the country, etc. are brought to justice. Enjoyment is inconceivable, precious treasures fill the underground, the sands of the great ocean, etc., are all precious, but they hide and conceal them for fear of being taken by others. Frog meat in butter, cooked is considered the best of foods. At that time, it is like an insubstantial god or demon, even though they are actually in the ocean, there are countless young sons with snake tails and matted hair, when they are playing on the seashore, on the tops of countless trees on the seashore, there is a Garuda called the sky-soaring.
