Having examined carefully, identify the category. For what is beneficial, removing obstacles, and increasing benefits, each is important. An introduction that benefits one, is not necessarily beneficial to all. An action that harms one, is not necessarily harmful to all. Just as a skilled doctor examines the pulse and urine, and after long observation, treats the illness. Rely on an experienced lama for a long time, separately removing obstacles and increasing benefits, If each person's fortune is suitable, there is no way that experience and realization will not arise. With common Dharma, common explanations, and extensive teachings, It seems difficult to get to the point, just like obtaining the Dharma of the body. A song about the differences in individuals' faculties. Raga Asya immediately said: May it be auspicious! ༈ །།Namo Mahamudra Ye. Sanskrit Romanization: Namo Mahāmudrāye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Great Seal.) Without referring to teachings or books, Regarding the instructions of the Kagyu lineage masters, Not imitating or copying, But in accordance with my own experience, I will briefly describe the way experiences arise. Whether it conforms to the truth or not, Various appearances arise in the yogi's experience. If it contradicts the meaning of the scriptures, I ask the wise ones not to ridicule me. I belong to the category of gradual enlightenment, It is very difficult for me to generate experience and realization. Because I am ignorant and foolish, I have practiced a large number of generation stage practices and recitations. Because I have not thoroughly refined and condensed the essence of practice, I do not have high realization. However, from the age of five, I have been proficient in abiding, moving, guarding, and calculating directions, Until now, with white hair, I have not changed, and I have continued to practice. Therefore, the way experiences arise, Is in accordance with the experience at that time. The way experiences arise on ordinary days, Is as changeable as the autumn sky, Like the summer meadow, various things grow, There is no end to describing them one by one. Initially, these scattered discursive thoughts, Although said to be without fault, feel very harmful. The discursive thoughts that arise in the mind, Where do they come from in the first place? Looking for the place where discursive thoughts arise, I cannot find it. The discursive thoughts that will come tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, Where do they come from today, and where are they? The discursive thoughts that arose in the past, Where have they all gone now? The discursive thoughts in the mind now, Where are they abiding? At that time, if I trace the root, There is no arising, abiding, or ceasing. Arising from the mind and dissolving into the mind, Like a naturally dissolving water bubble. There is no difference between abiding and moving, mind

The certainty arises that the ground is self-existing. If those two are mind, without difference, What need is there to differentiate and choose? It is understood that it is sufficient to cultivate whatever arises. However, there is a difference between awareness and non-awareness. Not looking at one's own face is ordinary, Looking at it, one realizes it is practice. A song of abandoning the choice between abiding and moving. Spoken for the benefit of beginners, I confess to the great practitioners. ༈ །།Namo Mahamudra ye. For the young meditators who are beginners, Obtain the profoundness of pursuing only awareness. Like threading a needle's eye, Without distraction, focus awareness on one point. If you look at the root of the mind of the mind, You will reach a state of not remembering anything. Thinking, "This is the state of abiding," Thinking that you must look at its essence, you look. You realize that the essence of abiding is emptiness. You think it is the union of stillness and insight. Again, when one thought arises, You think in your mind that the movement has passed. Thinking that you must look at its essence, you look. The movement vanishes and you see emptiness. You think, "This is self-pacification and self-liberation." Because you tighten awareness too much, Even if great difficulties arise, Do not give up, cultivate for several years. Then doubt arises about it. Thinking that there is abiding when abiding, And thinking that you must look at its essence, these two, Those two movements are scattered. Looking, you realize that the essence is emptiness. Thinking, "This is my own practice," Half of the movement is false, And half of the three is a scattered mistake. When a thought has moved and passed, One thought arises, thinking that it has moved and passed, And thinking that you must look at its essence, these two, Looking, the movement vanishes into emptiness. Thinking, "This is self-pacification and self-liberation," The false movement and those three, Those three are scattered thoughts. Although the way of cultivating at the beginning is like that, It is understood that it is a victorious method. It also appears that it is not without adornment, Whatever it is, that lama who is a fusion, That kind Dharma Lord, Visualize on the crown of your head and pray. Do the three sessions of lama practice for a month, His blessings actually arise, You realize the key point of abiding without adornment. There is no difference between abiding and moving, But it is not tightening up, Just leave it relaxed without distraction. The experience of abiding is like a still ocean, The movement is like a wave dissolving into water. Movement does not harm meditation, Even if hundreds and thousands of thoughts arise, Like rain falling into the ocean, It dissolves into the nature of that practice. Without needing to stare intently, It is very meaningful to abide in a natural state.
