It is the nature of the Sambhogakaya, the body of great bliss through absorption. The channels are the vajra of the body, speech and wind are the vajra of speech, bindu is the vajra of mind. Thus, it is self-arisen from the beginning, not made by anyone, spontaneously accomplished. Not understanding this meaning, one wanders in samsara. Like a poor person not recognizing real gold, even if they build a stove of gold, it is like being on the verge of death from famine. Recognizing this, that is the guru, the kind root guru, the guru who has gone before in purification. Some fortunate individuals, as soon as they are introduced, are liberated, going to the realm of the dakinis without abandoning the body. Such things are said to have happened many times in the past. Those with thick obscurations are not liberated by the Dharma of introduction, just as butter does not appear unless milk is churned, even though milk is the cause of butter. Therefore, practice is very important. One's own body is inherently the body of a deity, abiding as it is, one meditates on the generation stage. The objects to be purified are body, mind, and speech, and the means of purification are deity, mantra, and samadhi. To purify the three poisons, body, speech, and mind, and the three channels, there are three deities, like the three roots. To purify the five poisons, the five aggregates, and the five elements, there are five deities, like the five deities of the Victorious Ocean. This habitual pattern of the ordinary body, as a means of purification, there are three generation stages. This expression of ordinary speech, for the sake of purification, there are three winds and essences. This conceptual thought of the ordinary mind, for the sake of purification, it is said to be the samadhi of shamatha and vipashyana. If one does not understand what is to be purified and what purifies, even if the visualization of the deity's form is clear, it is called pride, and it is considered that the generation stage is meaningless. If one does not understand the reality of the view, even if one guards the place, shakes, escapes, or chases away, it is considered not to be the view of emptiness. If one does not understand the reality of the body, even if one controls the flow and retention of breath, it is considered not to be the meditation on channels and winds. These are the views of the wise. Even if one understands these well, if one does not put these into practice, one cannot liberate one's own mindstream, like a sick person carrying a medicine bag. Such is the view of the great meditators. These are in many tantric texts, having studied and become wise, then putting them into practice, in this way there is no error on the path, this is the view of the wise and the learned. Establishing the view through meditation, is the custom of the tantric texts. That

If the meaning is not well understood, it is like the stories of storytellers. The heroic deeds of King Gesar, even if told by storytellers, he has no magical powers and strength. Similarly, even if the explanation is excellent, if there is not even a little bit of practical experience, this kind of explanation is of little help to the meaning. Therefore, according to the tradition of the oral instruction masters, if one practices according to the words of the lama, even if one does not understand a single verse, whatever one meditates on, whether it is the generation stage or the completion stage, signs will appear. When the stomach is filled with food, there is no need to know the source of the writing. The basis of practice is the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and the methods of practice are the three: deity, mantra, and samadhi. It is enough to just know these. Even if one does not understand the reality of the view, one can realize the view through the power of meditation. Appearances will arise as illusory and unreal. This is what the Kagyu tradition believes. This little tune about the basis of reality was spoken on the first day of the sixth month of the Horse year (Tibetan calendar), may there be auspiciousness! May all be well! Emaho! Nowadays, the secret mantra is very prevalent, and there are many who meditate on the generation stage, but there are few who can cut off the wrong paths. In the generation stage of the hundred deities of the noble lineage, it is said that there are a hundred wrong paths. If the meaning of that is briefly explained here, all of those are included in the wrong path of "ter zuk (thér zug)". The meaning of "a'thas (a’thas) ter zuk (thér zug)", for example, like a person or a clay statue, to meditate on tangible things as real, is a great wrong path of "a'thas (a’thas) ter zuk (thér zug)". If one is too attached to such things, meditating on peaceful deities will cause one to be reborn among the gods of the form realm, and meditating on wrathful deities will cause one to be reborn among Yama and the Rakshasas. Meditating on horse-headed, pig-headed, buffalo-headed, etc. "a'thas (a’thas)", will cause one to be reborn among the subtle mothers and other beings with those heads. In particular, when meditating on the wrathful deities of the yidam, if one is attached to the real objects of "a'thas (a’thas)", one will be reborn as vidyadharas similar to the image of that deity, that is, the retinue of the wind gods, and among beings such as pretas and ghosts. What does "wrong path" mean? It means being reborn in such a state. If one cannot clearly visualize the images, and only vaguely believes, then each meditation has its own faults. If the vajra posture, lotus, and sun are not clear, life will become short. If the eyes are not clear, the eyesight will become blurred. If the face is not clear, the words spoken by people will become unreliable, which becomes a fault. If the ornaments are not clear, one will become poor. If the fire mountain and halo are not clear, many obstacles will arise. It is said that if the feet and legs are not clear, one will not be able to sit firmly. Such things as ornaments, etc.
