What to do? Sin boils and burns (beings) in eons. Therefore, the enemy to be hated is sin, and the method of subduing sin, it is essential to strive for this. Thus spoke Rāga Asya. Alas! We sentient beings all equally desire happiness and well-being. Because we have not attained the sacred Dharma, we do not know how to accomplish ordinary happiness and well-being. Desiring to attain happiness and well-being in this life, we commit non-virtuous and sinful deeds. For example, like an ignorant child who, desiring to make his skin white, smears mud on it, making it worse. Just as mud will not turn white, happiness and well-being do not arise from sin. The source of happiness and well-being is virtue, and accumulating merit brings happiness and well-being. The three lower realms and the other three continents, borderlanders do not know how to accumulate merit. We are born in a place where the sacred Dharma flourishes, now is the time to accomplish happiness and well-being in all lifetimes. For example, all householders accumulate trade, agriculture, livestock, etc., and accumulate food and wealth through various methods. Therefore, after entering the door of Dharma, one should accumulate accumulations through various methods. The first of merits is generosity, and if one is a householder, one should use food and wealth, as stated in the scriptures, to offer upwards and give downwards. Regarding this, there are two ways to choose a field of merit. If one does not have high realization, then choosing a superior field of merit is more profound. Compared to giving food to hundreds of thousands of ordinary people, giving to one pure Brahmin is more excellent. Compared to giving to hundreds of thousands of Brahmins, giving to one monk who keeps pure vows is more excellent. One Bhikshu is superior to one hundred thousand Panditas, one Shramanera is superior to one hundred thousand Bhikshus, one Bhikshu is superior to one hundred thousand Shramaneras, and one who has realized Mahamudra is said to be superior to one hundred thousand Bhikshus. The root guru is like one's parents, as well as the Bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis, For those who teach the vast sacred Dharma, the benefits of offering are immeasurable. Those with high realization choose an inferior field of merit, giving to the sick and the poor, and the Buddhas will also rejoice. Even offering to the Buddha will not please him, therefore it is more excellent to help the wretched. In ultimate truth, there is no high or low field of merit, because one clearly visualizes all sentient beings as the deity body of one's Yidam, therefore it is said that there is no difference in the field of merit. These are the rules for householder mantra practitioners. Among generosity, Dharma generosity is the most important, and material generosity cannot compare. For those who sincerely thirst for the sacred Dharma, even without material offerings, one should give empowerment and transmission.

That, by this provide favorable conditions for life, should give water to the hungry ghosts, leftovers, etc., it is said that it should be given to birds, dogs, etc. Other than that, food, clothing, etc., because there is nothing that is not property, even to the poor people, should not be given excessively, because property is very harmful to them. Therefore, Nalanda Monastery in India, the remaining food of the Sangha, is not given to birds, dogs, and beggars, and it is popular to dig a hole and pour it in. This has great significance. It can be given to the Sangha category, called the sudden Sangha. For the poor monks, food and clothing can be given as much as possible. It is said that one's own three Dharma robes and bowls cannot be given. Householders, especially for people, even if it is what he needs and is beneficial, poisons, weapons, and evil spells, etc., cannot be given. If you give pens, ink, paper, books, etc., it is the cause of increasing wisdom. Food and drinks that are harmful to the disease should not be given even if the patient likes it. Even if you give with immeasurable compassion, if you are not a bhumi-attained person, you cannot give your own flesh and blood. Offering and giving have the same meaning, external offering of water and food offerings, internal offering of torma offerings, and secret offering of body ornaments, are the supreme of uninterrupted giving. Even if you don't actually give flesh and blood, but visualize giving the body with your mind, the merit is the same as actually giving. This is also a profound and wonderful Dharma. Insects, etc. are on the verge of death, blowing out fire, etc. to save lives, and hail, frost, drought, etc., to protect with bodhicitta, and to gather clouds and rain, this is the giving of fearlessness and protection. If you have power, save the lives of necks, eyes, etc., and buy cattle and sheep to be slaughtered and prohibit hunting, these are the supreme of giving. If you don't have such power and power, there is no sin if you don't do it. The precepts that you have taken, the precepts of collecting good Dharma, no matter what empowerment, transmission, Dharma, etc. you obtain, whenever you meet a qualified lama, no matter what kind of Dharma connection you obtain, even if you don't consider it as the root lama, don't violate the vows, and abandon scolding and insulting. The precepts of benefiting sentient beings, not when in retreat, for whom what is beneficial, empowerment, transmission, and
