The fruit of purity is that, propelled by virtuous action, it goes forth here. Now, if one strives in virtuous deeds, one will be perfected by perfecting virtue, and attain lasting happiness. However, whatever good or evil is accumulated now, one will be perfected by perfecting evil, and go to the lower realms. The boundary between going up and going down is now, which the world calls the place of karma. Those who have the fortune to practice the sacred Dharma like this, it is only once in a hundred thousand eons. Now, instead of fulfilling the desire for lasting happiness, one strives in non-virtuous deeds that lead to eternal ruin. Is one not caught by the noose of the demon around the neck? What powerful demon has entered the heart, that one wastes the precious human body like throwing a wish-fulfilling jewel into the water? How foolish! The power and strength of Brahma, Indra, and the Universal Monarch are also without essence. As one hears from the sutras and tantras, in this short life like the winter sun, for the sake of gaining a little power and wealth, one engages in non-virtuous and evil deeds. What kind of heart is that! The consorts of Indra, goddesses, and other deities, the precious consort of the Universal Monarch, women endowed with thirty-two qualities, eighty thousand retinue consorts, etc., one hears that they are like dreams, without essence. Does one still desire ordinary women? Knowing that the pleasure of a moment's intercourse will cause one to experience unbearable intense suffering in hundreds of thousands of millions of lifetimes in the lower realms, one recklessly breaks vows. What madness! The precious human body with leisure and opportunity, which is difficult to obtain, one must not return empty-handed from the precious island, but instead carries the burden of sin and downfall. The precious human body born in the degenerate age, for those who do not act like madmen, may the noble Avalokiteśvara look upon them with compassion! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum). This short song of remembering the difficulty of obtaining leisure and opportunity, was spoken by Raga Asya, arising in his mind on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the month of Mair in the Horse year (2014). Ema! Appearances and existence, samsara and nirvana, phenomena, conditioned and unconditioned, there is nothing that is not included in them. The Dharmadhatu and Dharmakaya, the skies, etc., are unconditioned. They are permanent and unchanging. The Rupakaya and the world, all sentient beings are conditioned. They are impermanent and changing.

All existing things, none are permanent. Time can be long or short. The three thousand great thousand worlds, Mount Meru, the four continents, the sun, moon, and stars, even if they exist for billions of years, will eventually be destroyed by fire, water, and wind. The incarnate Buddhas of the Good Kalpa, possessing the Vajra body adorned with auspicious marks, also demonstrate impermanence and pass away. Pratyekabuddhas and Arhats, possessing immeasurable miraculous powers and transformations, having completely exhausted their afflictions, their bodies are also impermanent and will eventually enter Nirvana. Brahma, Indra, and Chakravartin kings, even with great merit and power, cannot avoid death when their lifespan is exhausted. Kalpas increase and decrease, and the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter also change impermanently. Externalist hermits with clairvoyance, who can pass unhindered through mountains and rocks, and can fly five hundred yojanas, also have nowhere to go without death. Generals like Gesar's Rinchen, although possessing heroic strength, cannot resist the arrival of the Lord of Death, Yama. Externalist fortunate kings, who can rain down stones and can make crows fall to the ground with threatening gestures, their abilities cannot resist the Lord of Death. Ministers Rinchen, Minister Gar, Apo Chang-gen, and others, although skilled in speech and strategy, cannot resist the Lord of Death with words and strategies. From the beginning of the kalpa until now, countless people have disappeared like crops in the autumn harvest, disappearing one after another, with none left alive. Years, months, days, and hours pass in sequence, and life is exhausted imperceptibly. From birth, at every moment, without the slightest pause, we move step by step towards death. Now, in this degenerate age, it is said that lifespan is only about forty years, and even that is uncertain. Some die in the womb, some die at birth, some die crawling, some die running. Young people, middle-aged people, old people, etc., the lifespan in Jambudvipa is uncertain. The body is an impure substance of flesh and blood, a nest of diseases of wind, bile, and phlegm, unable to endure hunger, thirst, heat, and cold. No matter how carefully cherished, it will eventually break like a clay pot. Even if protected by a hundred means, it will eventually be invaded by demons and spirits. Even if wrapped in silk, it will eventually rot and stink. This impermanent and meaningless illusory body!
