Or rather, seven sevens, which is forty-nine days, some, their lifespan not exhausted, remain in the bardo. Some, due to the power of karma, for hundreds and thousands of years, are unable to obtain a body anywhere, it is said that they also abide in the bardo. That is called the path of waiting for the Dharma. A sound like a roar from the depths of the ocean, like a thousand dragons roaring at once, like the sound of a great fire spreading, like the sound of Mount Meru collapsing, four terrifying sounds arise at times. Hailstorms, blizzards, and, dark armies, wild beasts, and, wrathful Yama chase after them at times. That is called the eight terrifying defiles. There is no certainty of a dwelling place, on mountaintops and seashores, powerless like cotton in the wind, unable to stay still, the mind is sad. They have great expectations and complaints towards the living, great resentment and sorrow towards the dead, great hope of obtaining a body, great regret for not practicing the sacred Dharma, great fear of falling into hell. Sometimes they accompany the living, they are not listened to, their hearts are sad, without food and drink, they feel great hunger. Sometimes they accompany the dead, the appearance of being with parents and relatives arises. Mostly they wander alone without companions, not knowing where to go, fearful and sad. Like a child wandering in an empty wilderness. Sometimes they manifest contaminated clairvoyance, knowing past, present, and future lives. Convinced that they have died, they remember the good and bad deeds they have done. But then they immediately forget, and wander around in confusion. Now, because of such suffering, if they could obtain a body, they would want anything. Even if it were a dog's body, they would be willing to take it. They can only see a short glimpse of a few days or years. They wander everywhere in order to obtain a body. I and all beings connected to me, when we encounter such a situation, please guide us, Avalokiteśvara. Because I have not done even one good deed, I have not obtained a heavenly body, because I have not done any evil deeds, I have not taken a lower realm body, the wandering consciousness that feels neither happiness nor suffering is inconceivable. In the time it takes for a chariot wheel to turn, from the earth and the sky in the space between, surpassing all the bodies obtained by sentient beings in the three thousand worlds and six realms, it is said that there are more formless sentient beings. Therefore, sentient beings are inexhaustible. Like those formless sentient beings, please guide them, noble Avalokiteśvara. Om Mani Padme Hum

Deh Hung! A song of remembering the faults of samsara. On the seventh day of the Bird Month in the Horse Year, May saying this thoroughly purify samsara! Mangalam! Ema, listen! Those who can speak and understand, Those who are clever and have thoughts, The Bhagavan who knows and sees all, Please listen to the words of the Sage King! The Sage's words cannot be mistaken. This sky has no measure or end, Where the sky pervades, below the earth and above the earth, The sky, the space, all the earth, The wandering consciousness without a body, Without interruption, fills obstacles and narrowness. The six kinds of sentient beings who have obtained a body are also like this, The three lower realms are like the number of dust particles on the earth, Those born as gods and humans are like the dust of a fingernail. Even for billions of thousands of kalpas, Buddhas do not appear, it is a dark kalpa. The kalpa of the lamp when Buddhas occasionally appear, At those times, only once in a hundred. Now in this good kalpa, A thousand Buddhas will appear, ema, how wonderful! In the teachings of other Buddhas, The profound secret mantras are not heard by all, Now in the teachings of the Sage, secret mantras flourish. The teachings of the previous Buddhas of the thousand Buddhas have disappeared, In the intermediate times when the later Buddhas have not yet appeared, For thousands of years, the Dharma does not flourish. Now is the time when the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha are temporarily abiding. Ugly bodies, unpleasant sounds, and bull-like behavior, Their six sub-continents, And even if born as a barbarian in the borderlands of Jambudvipa, The sacred Dharma does not flourish, it is just a human body. Now, blessed by the great compassion, The snowy land of Tibet is a place where the sacred Dharma flourishes. Many virtuous spiritual friends teach the sacred Dharma. In the past, when Tibet had no sacred Dharma, They risked their lives to go to India. For each empowerment and each method of practice, Five hundred gold coins were needed as payment. It is said that Tibetan translators and others, For each permission they requested as payment, About thirty cows had to be offered. Now the rain of empowerments, transmissions, and instructions falls. Dumb, stuttering, deaf, mad Etc., if they are like that, there is no opportunity to obtain the sacred Dharma, If they are not like that, the five senses are complete. In short, leisure and endowment have eighteen qualities, Like this, great merit has been accumulated in previous lives, May the aspiration be pure.
