The merits are beyond description, The benefits and virtues of this, Like the continuous flow of the Ganges River, Never ceasing nor exhausting. The ultimate fruit is complete enlightenment, Attaining the Dharmakaya like the sky. Attaining the Sambhogakaya, the five Buddha families, The Nirmanakaya performs the twelve deeds, Becoming a Buddha who benefits sentient beings. In all lifetimes of benefiting others, Immediately upon birth, encountering the Dharma, Receiving empowerments, transmissions, and guidance, Without effort, naturally obtaining them. The Lama, the virtuous spiritual friend, Meeting with unerringly virtuous ones, Even without service, joy arises, Without diligence, learning virtues. No breaking or diminishing of vows occurs, And there will be no obstacles to practice. Whatever one says, People will understand as Dharma. Whatever Dharma is spoken benefits others, Speech possesses great power. Blessings and commands pacify illness and evil spirits, Whatever words are spoken, gods, demons, and All people listen with respect. If wrathful rituals are performed, enemies are subdued. Such benefits are vast, In writing the collected works of the Lama, The Bhagavan has spoken. Compared to the Buddhas of a thousand kalpas, The Lama is said to be more important. However, this does not refer to all Lamas, But to one's own root Lama. What is the root Lama? One who bestows the Pratimoksha vows, Two, who bestows the Bodhisattva vows, Three, who bestows the four Mandala empowerments, When these three are done by one person, That is the one with the three qualities, the Vajradhara, As spoken in both Sutra and Tantra, Is said to be the root Lama. One, bestowing the four Mandala empowerments, Two, receiving the transmission of its Tantra, Three, receiving experiential instructions and advice, Is the root Lama of the Tantric tradition. The one who directly shows you Your own mind's Dharmakaya and makes you recognize it, Belongs to the Dagpo Kagyu Dharma lineage, Is the root Lama. The one who first introduces you to the Dharma, And the one who first shaves your head, Is said to be the root Lama, This is widely known in this world, But such a statement is not seen in the Dharma. However, that root Lama, Even if not entirely virtuous, If the disciple, with one-pointed devotion, Practices the Dharma he speaks, Then the benefits will arise, Like the Nepalese Bhikshu Mahadeva, Whose great sin of killing his parents, By pretending to be a Lama...

After speaking, many disciples attained Arhatship. The disciples attained Arhatship, and after the lama observed good and bad, he saw that he was a false sinner. The lama intended to guide the disciples, but was unable to guide them and fell into hell. Likewise, I am a bad lama. However, when writing the "Kadampa Treasure," merit will arise, you who possess realization! Thus he spoke. ༈ །།Namo Mahamudra Ye. Great meditator Sonam, listen to me. Regarding the statement that there is no abiding and moving, there is no need to engage in meaningless conceptualizations. All phenomena, without exception, are nothing but names. They transcend the limits of existence and non-existence. From form to omniscience, the Sutra of One Hundred Thousand Verses states that not even one exists. The condensed meaning of all of these is found in the profound Heart Sutra of Wisdom. Understand the meaning of statements such as "no form, no sound, no smell," and "no phenomena." If it is said that all phenomena do not exist, how could abiding and moving possibly exist? The reason for non-abiding is that it does not abide in the state of existence, because there is no shape, color, or substance. It does not abide in the state of non-existence, because there is nothing that abides like a rabbit's horn. The body, whether external, internal, or in between, has no identifiable location where it abides. There is nothing to say, "It abides like this." Therefore, it is true that there is no abiding. Just like that, there is no moving either, because the agent of moving is the mind, and since it has no substance, there is no moving because there is no mover. All external appearances are like the appearances of a dream world. Apart from the nature of mind itself, there is no other moving. The nature of non-moving is that it cannot be identified as either existing or non-existing. Therefore, the nature of moving is that, in the state of uncorrected naturalness, there is no object to be seen, no seer, and no seeing. Therefore, there is no view. Apart from a moment of non-distraction, this meditation has not even a hair's breadth of fixation. Therefore, there is nothing to meditate on. From the spontaneous arising of non-distraction and non-correction, because there is nothing to abandon or adopt, therefore, there is no action. From the manifestation of mind itself, because there is no other Buddha, there is no need to obtain a result. Therefore, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni said that all phenomena are merely names and symbols, and that in the ultimate sense, they do not exist, as extensively explained in the Sutra of One Hundred Thousand Verses. If you realize the meaning of no abiding and no moving, you will realize the Great Seal.
