Practice diligently. Perfect the cycles of your own mind. This is the twelfth heart advice. Constantly, in the pure land of Great Bliss, Dedicate and pray for rebirth, And strongly aspire to go there. Strive to accumulate the merits for rebirth there. This is the thirteenth heart advice. The old monk Rāga Asya, In front of the butter lamp in the White Cloth Temple, Immediately wrote down whatever came to mind. May there be auspiciousness! A song of advice by Rāga Asya to Karma Nātha. Namo Mahāmudrāye (藏文:ན་མོ་མ་ཧཱ་མུ་དྲ་ཡེ,梵文天城体:नमो महामुद्राये,梵文罗马拟音:Namo mahāmudrāye,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Great Seal!). I prostrate at the feet of the Lord of the World, inseparable from the Guru and Yidam. The venerable Karma Gonpo, Said that he needed advice that would benefit the mind. All the teachings of the Sutras, Tantras, and Gurus, Are solely for the purpose of benefiting the mind, Is there any other meaning to them? What is the method for benefiting the mind? It is to tame one's own mind by oneself. Therefore, son, You must tame your own mind. This precious human body with leisure and opportunity, Is difficult to obtain again and again, only this once. If you slip and fall this time, There will never be a time for liberation. Instead of wasting this body, The way to make this body meaningful, Is to cherish the keeping of vows and commitments. After taking refuge in the Three Jewels, Whatever happiness or suffering arises in this life, the next life, or the bardo, Entrust your mind and heart to the Three Jewels, Knowing that they will do what is best. When happy, contemplate the compassion of the Three Jewels. When suffering, also contemplate the compassion of the Three Jewels, Contemplate the joy of purifying karmic obscurations. Towards all those who wear yellow robes, With the perception of them as the actual Sangha, Do not dwell on their faults, cultivate pure perception. This precious human body with leisure and opportunity, Will not last long, the Lord of Death will come. This Lord of Death, the Yama of Karma, When he will come is uncertain, And even if he comes, there is no way to turn him back. Like the sun setting on the peak of the western mountain, No one can turn it back, one must go to the other shore. Body, possessions, wealth, Land, city, friends will be left behind, Consciousness will be left alone. Even if you commit sins for the sake of leaders, parents, and relatives, They cannot help you bear your sins. Virtues and sins are like body and shadow, Inseparable from oneself, following closely behind. In the court of the Yama of Karma, There is no place for lies and clever talk. Whatever you have done will be clearly revealed in the mirror-like documents. At that time, regret will be of no use. Even if you want to do good, you will find no opportunity. Now you have your own freedom, You have the ability to think and discern.
