If you want to see those places, Work hard and write letters. If you want oral instructions immediately, Because it is difficult to obtain a human body again, In order to obtain a meaningful human body, Keep the vows and commitments purely. This is the first oral instruction. Because it is impossible to determine when one will die, So recite any rituals and practices that you know, and Always recite the six-syllable mantra. This is the second oral instruction. Just as there are relics in a dog's tooth, Generate devotion and respect for the guru, The Mahamudra will naturally arise. This is the third oral instruction. Do not lose the broken vows, The Vajra brothers of the same guru, Will gather together in the Buddha-field. Practice pure perception towards your Dharma friends. This is the fourth oral instruction. Taking water, making fire, and other difficult tasks, For the guru and the Sangha, Because it is external attachment, it can purify sins. If you think of the difficult labor, The benefits of prostrations and circumambulations are the same. Where the Sangha takes water, Think of the donkey's footprints. If you do not guard your own mind, No matter how good the guru, how good the place, How good the Dharma friends are, There is no way to help with meditation. Therefore, do not forget to guard your own mind. This is the fifth oral instruction. The so-called guarding your own mind, Is not something that can be seen or known. Abide in the state of the invisible. Abandoning is not letting go, But setting up a constant reminder. This is the sixth oral instruction. Keeping the discipline of the body is one, The recitation of speech is two, Recognizing the nature of the mind is three. There is no Dharma deeper than this, Nowhere to be found in the three thousand worlds. It is not taught in the Sutras and Tantras. Therefore, engrave these in your heart. This is the seventh oral instruction. Protect the four roots like your life, Abstain from alcohol except for Tsog offerings, Try to recite as much as possible. Constantly pray and guard your mind. If you can persevere until you die, Now is the time of the five degenerations, Slandering practitioners and promoting Dharma. In the past, it was the time of the Good Kalpa, Compared to the accomplished wise ones, Now, the benefits are just as great, And the Buddha said that greater miracles can be achieved. Therefore, have unwavering faith in these. This is the eighth oral instruction. Just as a horse's head is turned with reins, The most important of all Dharmas is aspiration, May you be born in Sukhavati. Eternally

That is the realm of bliss. That is the ninth instruction. When laziness arises, think about when you will die, when you will die. Think about where you will go when you die. If you don't seize the opportunity this time, think that you won't get a human body again. That is the instruction for dispelling obstacles. This is the tenth instruction. Don't forget these ten instructions in your heart. Namo Mahamudra ye (藏文, 梵文天城体, 梵文罗马拟音, 汉语字面意思). Virtuous son, Thugje, listen to me. That emptiness Mahamudra is not realized by reading books. All the accomplished masters of the past Kagyu lineage realized it by relying on a lama. It is realized through devotion and faith. It is realized through prayer. Son, if you want to generate realization, meditate on the lama as Vajradhara. Pray from the depths of your heart. Meditate on all external attachments, difficulties, and sufferings as the joy of purifying obscurations. Morning and evening, make a commitment to prostrate a hundred times to the thousand Buddhas. Morning and evening, when you have a little free time, the essential point of the body is the seven-point posture of Vairochana. Look at the mind with the mind. When fetching water, making fire, or working, don't be distracted, set up a sentinel of mindfulness. Sometimes eat something and look at your own mind. Eating and drinking is an uncontaminated tsokhor. Sometimes walk around and look at the nature of the mind. This is the unelaborated ultimate circumambulation. Sometimes lie down and look at the nature of the mind. This is the instruction for meditating on clear light. Sometimes look nakedly and openly. This is the instruction for seeing naked awareness. Sometimes leave it uncorrected, naturally. This is the instruction for ordinary nakedness. Sometimes it moves, but let it be natural. This is the phenomena Mahamudra. Sometimes, whatever arises, look at its nature. This is the instruction for chasing after movement. Nowadays, for beginners, rely on a lama who has the lineage of instructions. Compared to the Tripitaka, tantras, and collections of songs, the lama's teachings are the time of joy. When the nature of non-elaboration is seen, the profound teachings of the Tripitaka, tantras, and collections of songs, if you understand the meaning no matter what you look at, relying on the lama of the Sugata's words is the time to look at all the books. When a little realization of the one taste arises, all appearances appear as books. Even if you don't memorize, the Dharma talk will not be exhausted. When the state of no meditation is realized, your own mind appears as the lama, and all the meanings of the Tripitaka and tantras appear in your own mind. Now you don't understand the meaning of the books, so you should practice the four preliminaries.
