Written by Nargen Raga Asya. In the white expanse, like melted butter appears. Immediately wrote down what came to mind. Mangalam! A song of advice from Raga Asya to Karma Natha. Namo Mahamudra! I prostrate at the feet of the Lord of the World, inseparable from the Guru and Yidam. O Venerable Karma Gonpo, you said that you need something beneficial for the mind. The words of the Sutras, Tantras, and Gurus are all like nectar. The only method is to benefit the mind, are there any other meaningful words? What is the method to benefit the mind? It is to tame one's own mind by oneself. Therefore, child, tame your own mind. This precious human body with leisure and opportunity is very difficult to obtain again, only this once. If you slip and fall this time, there will never be a time for liberation. Do not let this body be wasted, the method to make this body meaningful. Cherish and protect vows and commitments. After taking refuge in the Three Jewels, in this life, the next life, and the bardo. Whatever happiness or suffering arises, entrust it to the Three Jewels. Whatever the Three Jewels do, you know, entrust your heart and soul. When happy, contemplate the compassion of the Three Jewels. When suffering, also contemplate the compassion of the Three Jewels, contemplate the joy of purifying karmic obscurations. For all those who wear yellow robes, with the thought that they are the actual Sangha. Do not look for faults, practice pure perception. This precious human body with leisure and opportunity will not last long, death will come. This Lord of Death, Yama of karma, when it will come is unpredictable. Even if it comes, there is no way to reverse it. Like the sun setting on the peak of the western mountain, no one can stop it from setting. The body, possessions, wealth, and property, as well as home, city, and friends will be left behind. Only consciousness will be left alone. Even if you commit sins for the sake of leaders, parents, and relatives. They cannot share the sins. Virtue and vice are like body and shadow, inseparable and follow you. In the court of Yama of karma, there is no place for falsehood and clever words. What you have done is clearly shown in the mirror-like document. At that time, even if you regret it, it is useless, even if you want to do good, there is no way to find it. Now freedom is in your own hands, if you are a person with the ability to think. Now be cautious of small sins, even small sins. Will bring suffering for many eons, even small virtues. Will bring happiness in many lives, even the happiness of gods and humans.

Short time is impermanent, suffering changes. Wherever one is born in the six realms, it is suffering. Samsara is an ocean of suffering, agitated by the waves of birth, old age, sickness, and death. The sacred Dharma is the means to escape this suffering. If practiced now, it will surely be accomplished. The foundation of Dharma is discipline. If vows and commitments are pure, there is no fear of falling into the lower realms. Obtaining a human body is difficult. Whatever one does of hearing, contemplation, and meditation, it goes on the path and becomes meaningful. If those vows and disciplines, any of the four root vows are lost, it is like a city with a bad foundation. Even if there is great merit of hearing and contemplation, it is difficult to accomplish great benefit for oneself and others. Therefore, these four root vows, keep your own mind as witness and protect them. There is no certainty when the Lord of Death will come, and if he comes, there is no way to turn him back. Even if he comes, accumulate virtuous deeds without regret. Whatever you know, prayers, Dharma practices, etc., do not think of them as public taxes. Morning and evening, constantly keep them in your mind. This is the way to increase the benefits of practice. Visualize the Lamas of the Union Lineage stacked on top of your head, and pray from the center of your heart. Whatever you do, you know, entrust your heart and mind. Dissolve into light and absorb into yourself. Then look at the nature of your own mind. If you don't see it when you look, leave it in its own place. If it is sinking and murky, look at it with focus. Relax, be at ease, and rest nakedly. If there are many distractions, look at it with relaxation. Let it go wherever it goes, and stand firm. The nature of mind is emptiness itself. There is no form, color, or object. Emptiness is the nature of the Dharmakaya. The nature of mind is clear and pure. Self-aware, self-luminous, nakedly, is the nature of the Sambhogakaya. The appearance of mind is unimpeded. It goes anywhere and appears in any way. It is the nature of the Nirmanakaya. These three are inseparable, one nature. It is the nature of the Svabhavikakaya. If one does not recognize one's own face, that is co-emergent ignorance. It is the root of wandering in samsara. If one recognizes one's own face, that is co-emergent wisdom, the Great Seal. The Dharmakaya is the nature of unborn. Whatever thoughts arise in the mind, if one does not recognize one's own face, thoughts are great ignorance. It is the root of the six realms of samsara. If one recognizes the nature of thoughts, they subside like waves dissolving into water. It is great non-conceptual wisdom. Karma is the first.
