I and my mouth are directly facing those three. Emptiness, deception, and exhaustion gather in the expanse! Thus, relying on a single clear sky, Araka spoke wondrous words. Namo Guru Dharmeshvaraya. I pray to Avalokiteshvara, inseparable from the Lama and Yidam. To my follower who desires, the only son Sonam Norbu, I, an old man, offer three words of heartfelt advice. This precious leisure and endowment of human life is a once-in-a-century opportunity. Therefore, for it to be meaningful, protect the four roots as you would your life. Protecting them leads to the path of Dharma. Whether the qualities are great or small, great benefit for oneself and others is certain to be accomplished. Nowadays, more than protecting the four roots, the power of the Victorious Ones lies in being virtuous, as spoken by the feet of Akshobhya. Among foods, the greatest sins are alcohol and consecrated meat, as the Thubpa (Buddha) repeatedly taught. Therefore, it is extremely important to be very cautious about these two. This is the first heartfelt advice. The so-called impermanent death comes to all and cannot be reversed. It is uncertain when it will come, and the faults are great. Generate diligence in virtuous practice and cultivation so that even if you die today, you will have no regrets. Even good intentions are of no benefit if you do not make your own effort. Even if the Lama is good and the instructions are profound, the place is a good mountain, and realization is difficult. Do not be distracted, keep the watchtower of mindfulness, and do not forget to apply the medicine of mindfulness. This is the second heartfelt advice. The ripening of karma from one's own actions cannot be altered by the fully enlightened Buddhas, evil demons, or anyone with great power. Therefore, practice virtue and abandon evil. Whether you are a mantra practitioner or have a high view, do not think that whatever you do is without fault. Strive to purify obscurations and perfect the accumulation of merit as much as possible, and be meticulous in your conduct. To include yourself among the ranks of Dharma practitioners is the third heartfelt advice. From the very beginning until now, the wheel of birth, old age, sickness, and death has turned. We have wandered in the six realms for a long time and have made our home in the three lower realms. Now, if we do not accomplish a method of liberation from the ocean of samsara, we will greatly deceive ourselves. Have compassion for yourself. Food and wealth are like the honey of bees; you accumulate it, but others enjoy it. Relatives and gatherings are like guests at a market; they do not stay long and depart separately. There is no essence in anything or anything. Brahma, Indra, and the Universal Monarch.

Even born like that, one falls into hell. A place of permanent bliss and joy. In the pure land of Sukhavati. Strive with the means and diligence to go there. This is the fourth heart advice of an old man. It is not enough to be happy yourself. All beings are kind parents. In order to place them in the state of Buddhahood. After attaining enlightenment oneself. For the effortless and spontaneous activities of benefiting all beings. In order to guide all beings. Generation stage, completion stage, recitation, meditation, etc. Should be taken with a good motivation. With love and compassion, giving and taking. The meditation on the object is the main thing. This is the fifth heart advice. The secret mantra essence is deeper than the Sutras. One's own body is the body of the deity. Meditating with firm pride. Should be done in all activities of walking, sitting, and moving. Speech should not be idle. Recitation should be like a river. Better than reciting many rituals. Recitation brings power. Lama, Yidam, Dharma protectors, etc. Mixing and reciting over four hundred million times. Those who have received empowerment, transmission, and instructions. Thinking that the Yidam is the actual Buddha. By having pure perception, accomplishment is near. Even if you have not actually met them. Nowadays, of all the Karma Kagyus. The teachers are the two father and son. Hold them as the root guru. Pray without hesitation. It is certain that experience and realization will arise. The Buddhas of the three times have promised. Mix the guru with your own mind. Whatever arises, look nakedly at its own face. If you don't see it even when you look, leave it in that state. The high and low, good and bad of experience. Whatever arises, leave it in emptiness. Whatever arises, there is no acceptance or rejection, joy or sorrow. If you leave it relaxed, realization will dawn. This is the sixth heart advice. A young and healthy person. Protect the bindu from diminishing like protecting life. If you strive in the channels and winds and exercises. Many signs of the path and qualities will arise. Chronic diseases will be purified, and experience and realization will blaze. One will become a qualified great meditator with realization. Even if one has the power of channels and winds. Without relying on other consorts. Maintaining pure discipline. This is the good conduct of the Kagyu forefathers. For the benefit of the teachings, benefit for beings will arise. This is the seventh heart advice. When doing village rituals and so on. Regarding the good and bad of offerings and service. Abandon the expressions of liking and disliking. If it is good, it will turn into a favorable condition, and it will be good for oneself. If it is bad, one's own accumulation of obscurations will be small. In any case
