From countless eons of lifetimes, the mixture of alcohol and fermented substances, and violations of vows, etc., the karmic obscurations of fainting and epilepsy, all that has been accumulated, I confess and admit. May I not commit them in the future. Avalokiteshvara, lord of the ten powers, having cleared away non-virtuous karmic obscurations, with the fruit of virtue, I pray, may the diseases and evil spirits of fainting and epilepsy be pacified and eliminated, bless body and mind with happiness! This was said when his attendant, Dondrup, became seriously ill, fainting about twelve times a day, and all methods were ineffective. Thinking, "What is the result of previous karma?" Around midnight, he spontaneously spoke this prayer, bestowing the sick person of Great Compassion.
